i just moved to texas and wanted a new floor. 4k square foot home. im a woman. i know how to tile a floor as my husband was a contractor before he passed away. i used to help him. because the home is larger, i need to buy the tile in one lot, then buy all the other supplies in the next lot. the website looks great. but.. there is no pricing. there is no way to tell what anything costs and zero way to do any comparison shopping online. i love the idea of supporting a local company, so i called this company first, before homedepot. don't waste your time. these (/sarcasm mode on) lovely gentlemen (/sarcasm mode off) will laugh at you if you ask the price of tile. they ask for specific. i give a brand, more snickers. again.. "nope.. cant tell you, we have too many." ok... then tell me all of them. i'll wait. more under the breath snickers. is it because im a woman? is it because you plan on changing the prices and thats why you dont have pricing? i've had that happen to me with a carpet company, so i know the "screw the customer" game of refusing to give pricing. Even homedepot lists prices!!! they have millions of tiles too! horrible people. i called him out. i said.. "you think its funny that i am calling you to get tile for my house? why are you laughing at this attempt to make a large purchase?" more laughter! i hung up. Then some asshat called me back! i had zero interest to hear what some scammer wants to tell me. if they refuse to give a price, you can bet they are going to change prices and scam you later!!!! DO NOT USE~~~ PS! Mike (the horrible owner) just made a rebuttal! Mike is claiming "no one laughed"? That is a bald faced lie. That guy did laugh. multiple times. How dare you lie in a response!!!! We had two very different experiences with Raider, so this is a mixed review. Initially, we contacted Raider for an estimate on carpet installation in a bedroom and on a staircase. They were prompt in their response and quickly set up a consultation. Afterward, we visited their store, selected our carpet, and received two separate quotes--one for the bedroom and another for the stairs, as they were still sourcing the carpet for the latter. The quotes were reasonable, and we felt the pricing was fair. The bedroom carpet installation went smoothly. Within a week, Raider scheduled the installation, and the crew arrived on time. They were professional, efficient, and careful with our belongings. They prepped the room, moved the furniture, and completed the job quickly. The results were fantastic--the room looked amazing, and the crew did an excellent job cleaning up afterward. We were very pleased with this part of the service. Unfortunately, our experience with the stair installation was quite different. A week later, we were informed that the crew would be coming to complete the stair project. On the scheduled day, the crew arrived, and we showed them the stairs, which led to our finished basement. From the start, the crew complained about various things--everything from the way the previous carpet was installed to the material of the stairs. They repeatedly left the door open, which is understandable when they were bringing supplies in and out. However, my wife asked them several times to keep the door closed when they were inside for long periods of time, especially considering the 100+ degree weather outside.   When the job was done, they showed my wife the top of the stairs, which seemed fine. They then had her complete a survey, after which they said they would clean up. However, when I returned home, I was disappointed to find that while the carpet installation itself appeared okay at first glance, the walls along the staircase were heavily scuffed and scratched. It seemed as if no care was taken to avoid damaging them.   As I inspected further, the situation was much worse on the walls under the stairs and on another adjacent wall. These areas were in terrible condition, with far more severe scratches and scuffs. It appeared as though no effort was made to protect these surfaces either and the damage was past a point of simple neglect or carelessness from the crew. What was most frustrating was that nothing had been done to prep or protect our belongings. Our high-end electronics, including a $2,000 receiver and a $5,000 projector, were left completely exposed and covered in dust and carpet debris. Even our personal ladder, which they used without asking, was left covered in dust and carpet bits and was moved across the room without being put back in place.   Shockingly, this dust even made its way into our refrigerator's freezer seal. At this point, it was too late to contact the company, so we spent the next hour carefully cleaning our electronics as the dust and carpet bits made their way inside the electronics, possibly ruining them, and the mess left behind. The negligence of the crew means we now have to do a deep clean on some of the electronics to prevent damage, and we'll likely need to repaint the walls or hire someone to repair the damage, which will cost around $500. read more

After pricing hardwood at the "big box" stores, someone told me about Raider Flooring, a new company in Lubbock, Texas started by Mike Anderson. I went to the Raider Flooring showroom and talked personally with Mr. Anderson. He has extensive experience in the flooring business. He showed me his product lines and discussed the different types of flooring. I told him I was interested in hardwood flooring and showed him pictures of the limited hardwood already installed in the entry way to the new home. He offered to come to my new home to look at the existing floor. Mr. Anderson came to the my new home, free of charge, to look at the existing floor. He was able to immediately match the existing flooring with a beautiful selection in his inventory. I was blown away by his ability to instantly match wood grain, thickness, and color immediately. Technology is a beautiful thing! Now, for the best part ...... his prices were very competitive with the big boys, yet the personal attention and response where game changers for me. I purchased the hardwood and set up measure and installation dates. Raider Flooring showed up with a trained four man crew that installed the beautiful new hardwood in a 3,200 sq ft home in only two days. I personally watched these professionals at work and can say, the attention to detail was a thing of beauty. I inspected closely as the crew worked, and I must say, the work was flawless. Mr. Anderson took the time to educate me on the proper cleaning and maintenance of this gorgeous addition to my home. The whole process was a pleasure from the moment I walked into the showroom. I'm not going into long details, but this is the WORSE company I have ever dealt with. What makes it even more worse, this joker installs for Lumber Liquidators. Mike gave us a start date of 9-5-18 and just last week we got the job completed, after I contacted the CEO at Lumber Liquidators. Mike does not return calls or emails. Impossible to deal with and when he did, it was one lie after another. Instead of being a man he would blame his workers for not showing up. He called my husband and told him I was a liar and cussed him out. My husband offered to meet him face-to-face but mike only talks big on the phone. As of today, our floors are popping up and now I can't even get LL to call us back, so obtaining an atty. I don't write reviews, but this job has left me no choice. Mike with Raider Flooring is a liar and does a crappy job. Please take my advice and pay a little more if you have to. You will thank me in the long run! read more
