We stumbled upon this place which is a bit further walk than the main part of town. If you head away from the main part (walk up the hill on the main street) you will see it on the right. It seemed to have better (earlier hours) than the other places in town. The sandwiches were surprisingly good. My wife had the Tuna Salad on Mixed Greens ($11.95) and was quite happy with it. I had one of their sandwich specials, which was the turkey, brie, gruyere, and bacon (with a mayo called "prickly pear jalapeno mayo) on excellent grilled focaccia bread. In fact, it was my favorite sandwich of the trip. We ate outside on the patio, which was nice. This time, the owner told me the restroom was closed for the night. I explained that I really needed to go, but she simply looked at me and told me to use the bar next door or go to a park a couple of blocks away. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it and ended up having an accident. What makes this even more disappointing is that I wasn't just asking to use the restroom without being a customer. I had just spent $20 on gas and was planning to buy items from the store as well. If I had known they wouldn't allow paying customers to use the restroom, I would have gone somewhere else to fuel up. I understand businesses can have policies, but showing a little compassion in an urgent situation would have made all the difference. This was one of the most embarrassing customer service experiences I've ever had, and unfortunately I won't be returning.
