Thinking it must have been an accidental disconnection, surely a professional medical office wouldn't be that incredibly rude, my wife called back. She wanted to clarify if perhaps there was a misunderstanding, or if a specific provider within the practice did accept our insurance. Instead of a brief conversation, she was immediately hung up on for a second time. This was not a fluke. This was deliberate, hostile, and utterly unprofessional. The level of disrespect and arrogance displayed by this staff is absolutely astounding. I do not understand how a business like this stays operating, though in a place like Calvert, they likely only survive because patients have so few other options. Even if we decided to pay completely out of pocket, I would never, under any circumstances, patronage this clinic. If this is how they treat people over a simple phone inquiry, I dread to think how they treat patients under actual medical care. Do yourself a favor and find a clinic that possesses basic human decency and professional standards.

Last night I had one of the scariest moments since becoming a mother. I thought my 18 month old son…read morehad swallowed a button battery. Panicked, I drove to the nearest facility that could do an xray which was this urgent care. Even though they had a 90 minute wait, they got my son back within 5 minutes of me bursting through their doors. The triage nurse was very patient as I cried my son's information to her. The xray tech was very gentle in guiding me to position my crying and confused toddler. The doctor came in very quickly to examine the results and quickly notified me that there was no button battery on the imaging. Everyone was so quick and patient with the entire process. I was advised to go to the hospital for further treatment. As I came home to pack a bag, I stumbled upon the button battery that my cats had been playing with on my stairwell. I want to thank the staff and doctors at this facility for easing my mama mind and being so awesome and fast acting!

I had a very memorable experience yesterday when visiting Dr. Peter Johnson. It started at…read moreadmissions desk being greeted by professional staff. They helped to get my paperwork for the visit straight. Next Nicole escorted me to my assigned space and worked with me to get the questions on the portal answered. She was energetic, formerly from Compton, MD and most gracious in her work. Tara, who took pictures of my bad shoulder asked me with humor " have you been oystermen tonging for boulders." This shoulder is not in a happy place, but Dr Johnson will cut to the chase She took me back to my assigned space where Dr Johnson met me. He had a trick up his sleeve. He prepped where the shot was going and Said: "Now wiggle the toes on your left foot". Becoming engaged, I made certain they were moving. AND before I knew it the shot was done " because he knew exactly where is should be put! Not to be lengthy but Mike Travis did my hands, Daniel Bauk did my hip, and Colleen worpked on my knee. Found out I'm high risk for cancer from my hematologist and we planned the next steps. Reached out letting this clinic know and the referrals needed to make this process smoothly. But instead of it going smoothly they are hounding me for all this other information that I don't even know and my other drs told me it is not an issue not knowing. All is needed is my positive test and that there is a history. So not only am I upset about results and stressed over that, this clinic is now adding more stress on my plate.
