**PSA: TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES ELSEWHERE!** During our terminal…read moregrandfather's stay, Emerson failed to provide basic care, including withholding meals and critical comfort medications meant to manage his terminal cancer. The entire room was overlooked completely. When brought to their attention, staff attempted to deflect blame by claiming my grandfather was confused. However, both patients in the room corroborated the neglect, and a nurse eventually confirmed the failure around 11:00 PM, hastily bringing them minimal food. The following day, we discovered he had gone 16 hours without his required medication. Furthermore, staff repeatedly denied him physical assistance to use the restroom, instructing him to use an adult brief instead, despite him suffering from severe bedsores from a prior stay at this same facility (which previously resulted in a hospital readmission for suspected sepsis). When he expressed fear and requested to leave, staff dismissed his distress as mere "homesickness." Fortunately, we were able to transfer him to another facility the next afternoon, where he finally received proper medical and comfort care. No patient deserves this level of neglect, let alone a terminal veteran who dedicated 28 years of service to our country.

I want to start off by saying the staff is so rude. I ask for my mom to be taken to the bathroom…read moreand the aide says go in your pants. Then when she finally comes in she is on her AirPods having a full blow personal conversation while she is changing her, I ask are you talking to me because I wasn't sure and she don't even answer. The aide cha cha is nasty beyond belief but put an act in front of the family. They stole our pure wick applicator and claimed no one but her uses it but come to find out another patient has one as well. I question if she got her medicine and claimed she did but the reality was 30 min later they came in with it. The rehab does not even have bed chiuckks they use sheets which is gross . The staff need an attitude adjustment.

Absolute incompetent jerks. As a resident of an Assisted Living…read moreFacility in Allendale, I had filed 28+ well-documented complaints and violations. In retribution, the Executive Director, Dan Silva, called Care Plus for a psychiatric evaluation for "behavior problems," and screener Michael Gorden not only believed his pack of lies but also repeated the false accusations in his report to have me forcibly removed from the facility claiming a mental health crisis. Instead of following proper protocol by obtaining signed statements from staff members that the behavior problems actually happened, this jerk signed authorization to have police take me to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center (where I wasted an entire days, eventually clearing both medical and psychiatric evaluations. Mr. Silva had locked all of the doors and refused to re-admit me, committing the criminal offense of "Patient Dumping." His sole purpose was to get me out of the building so that he could get rid of a "nuisance Medicaid patient" and Michael Gordon was his accomplice. The matter is now under investigation by the N.J. Attorney General's Office and the OSC Office of State Comptroller, and I have filed a complaint against Michael Gorden as well for taking away my civil liberties because of malpractice. Care Plus should be closed down entirely, and both Dan Silva and Michael Gorden should be in prison. Avoid like the plague!!!

My only advice to people that are looking at Care Plus is to RUN. The people that work at this…read morebusiness are easily the most incompetent, non-caring people I have ever met in my entire life. If the evaluation process did not take so long at other places, then I would easily reconsider and move to a different place. If you need your medication, forget about it. I have gotten in contact with the receptionist about four times this week who said they would handle it and they never did. Because of the office's lack of follow-through, I ran completely out of a medication that should never be interrupted without medical guidance. Instead of receiving the care and communication I expected, I was left wondering whether anyone was actually handling my requests. Having to chase down a psychiatric office over and over for an essential medication is unacceptable. Now, I have to go out of my way to go to the office in person in an attempt to get my medication. Please steer clear of this place because it is a warzone just to hear from anyone. I have never been through such a ridiculous situation in my life. I have been with Care Plus for years, the therapists are great, but other than that I would advise to stay away.
