I really like this new venue. Transportation: If you aren't driving there, it's easier to get in and around the line of traffic for parking. I'm told the parking sucks. I figured based on how small the entrance is and it being so close to 90/94. It looked like it sucked to get out as well but I don't know for sure. I took a Lyft to and from and had no issue. Inside the venue is pretty cool. A good amount of bars and plenty of bathrooms. The drinks are overpriced...it's a concert in Chicago, get over it. However, I do think cheaper water would be a good idea to encourage people to stay hydrated safe. I saw Killswitch Engage and August Burns Red. It was a fun show. You can hear well from any spot but can't see the show while getting a drink. I think there was probably a better layout option to fix this and that's why we are at 4 stars. To be honest, I thought this was a pretty solid club! I went for Tiësto last night, and it was so much fun. Drinks were pretty reasonably priced for a club venue and it had amazing air circulation, and it was actually a very nice temperature throughout the concert. This was pretty surprising, considering a lot of the other venues. It tends to get rather hot and this was not the case here. They also had another stage with a concert going on I stepped in for a minute, but it wasn't necessarily my vibe just as in the music quality but it was still cool they had this giant space to do things. I would definitely go back if there was another cool concert in the area it seems like they have a good set list. read more

There's just something about going to a brand new venue and reclaiming a type of normalcy after 1.5 years (Finally whew)! That said, this was a refreshing experience all around. It was organized and the staff were genuinely friendly and professional. The entry point experience was quick and efficient. As soon as you enter, you're able to navigate through the lobby and get to where you need to go without much hassle. The main stage is expansive -- the acoustics and visuals can be experienced everywhere. Tired of waiting in long lines for drink service? At Radius the main stage blesses you with multiple bars lined up along each of the walls. On top of that, there is a designated food counter if you're feeling hungry. I went for Loud Luxury and the DJs building up to the main event were electrifying. Looking forward to returning as this will be the place to keep an eye out for future events. Don't sleep on Radius! Radius is a great music venue that stands out in a city of great concert halls. Located in an old warehouse in Pilsen, I was excited to check this place out when my girlfriend and I attended the Alkaline Trio & Bad Religion show. I got to say that I'm a fan of Radius. The bars and bathrooms are plentiful here (big plus with any music venue), the staff is a well oiled machine with getting everyone in and checked, and the space is massive. We stood on the side of the stage and felt we had enough room even with a sold out show. We felt like we could socially distance ourselves but still get a good view of the stage. Radius provides a great concert experience before the opener steps on stage. Can't wait to go back! read more

I was very impressed by this venue when I came for angels and airwaves. First, it's easily accessible from the red line and a great excuse to grab dinner in Chinatown first. Second, it is huge! A great open space with lots of room. There are bars EVERYWHERE, every wall is a bar and I never waited more for more than 1 person in front of me. Prices are a little high, more like a nightclub, which was a little disappointing since the vibe inside wasn't really "nightclub". But the sound was great, nice and loud. It definitely didn't sound echoey or anything, which was a concern I had when I first walked in. I was a little surprised to hear that shows have to end at 10 but maybe it was just this particular one? But I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more people here. read more

Seamless experience all around, plenty of well-staffed, good systems in place for handling entry, coat check, security, merch, bars, and food. Well ventilated; it doesn't get too hot even a bit closer to the middle of the crowd. Multiple bars with no line for a well-attended show. Upstairs area did not require VIP for the show I went to and had a nice view from there. Very easy to move around in general. And a lot of exit doors all along the main standing room area for safety. GREAT sound at this venue. They clearly spent serious cash on the PA and sound treatments for the walls and ceiling. Nice and spacious, though I wish the concert hall was wider and less deep, but there's nothing they can really do about it now. Plentiful bathrooms and bars, though the beer selection was very weak (only Coors Light, Heinekin, and Gumballhead - how do you not have an IPA?). The space could use some "warming up", as it completely adheres to the "cold, industrial" vibe. Some wood on the walls, even a painted mural would help. The big gripe? $15+ bucks for a beer. HOLY CRAP. I know beer isn't cheap at music venues, but sports venues don't charge that much. Most medium size venues still sell beers for under $10. Pre-drink and save your greenbacks for beers at Skylark down the street after the show. read more

I have never in my life experienced such amazing staff at a venue before !!! Shoutout to CARMEN who stayed with my friends and I and helped us for at least 30 minutes after we had issues with our tickets. There were at least 10 different staff members who came over to assist us during the whole ordeal and made sure we got it sorted out so we could have a fun night. The door staff, security, and the box office all went above and beyond to check in on us and be so kind when they could've easily just turned us away. I came to see a show with my friends and had problems with my ticket. The staff exhausted every effort to help me (ESPECIALLY Carmen who stayed with me the entire time) and eventually got me into the venue. I had an amazing night and it's only because so many people were so kind and caring. Everyone truly went above and beyond from the box office staff to security. Short version: just Uber here. The most horrendous experience with parking. I drove 5 hours to attend a concert here so I paid for venue parking in advance. Get there a few hours early to wait in line for the concert and they tell me to park at a random location because the radius parking lot for RADIUS is being used by staff? Yes, you heard that right. So I park my car in that random location that I was told and ONE HOUR BEFORE THE SHOW STARTS they tell me to MOVE MY CAR OTHERWISE IT WILL BE TOWED?! I have to leave my spot in line to move my car and drive in literal circles and no one is giving me a straight answer where to park. 20 minutes later I see signs for "RADIUS PARKING" in the same spot I originally parked but now someone else handling the parking? They literally tell me "we are not radius not our problem. $40 cash or $45 credit". After I tell them I already paid for parking. I ended up paying the $40 AGAIN. I get an email after the concert that they will refund my original parking after 30 days. Just horrible. So many people had go through the same thing. Absolutely insane. read more

Hello. I have always enjoyed every show. I have been to at your venue. I have always been treated respectfully and had a smooth experience until tonight. Things turned out to be a little different. I had difficulties getting my coat out of coat check with just a picture of my number. If you are going to enforce rules, the customer should be aware of those. It should be posted that you need to have your actual ticket. Consider implementing some type of color coating system for certain days I understand running a business of this magnitude comes with a lot of liability. I am in disbelief that it came to this over an adult coming to get my coat which I could identify and you could also see when the picture was taken of my ticket. I was unaware that I should've held onto my ticket. More so than my coat was how the girl that said she was her manager treated me. She was demeaning disrespectful and lacked any type of customer service or willingness to resolve what she turned into an issue. I do not feel this situation was handled appropriately Following me out and making threats and then jeopardizing a kids job over a rule that no one was aware of as a consumer. This seems very extreme and disappointing for a venue that I held so high. I hope someone can look into this so that this manager can receive appropriate training. Thank you. read more

Not once in the last 2 years did I hear back from anyone at Radius despite calling, leaving voicemails, and emailing many times. I will actively avoid the venue in the future no matter who plays there because this was so much of a hassle. Really disappointed in a place that is supposed to be such a great venue. Venue is pretty cool, but the crowd that was at the Tiesto concert was horrible. People were being pick pocketed all over the place. A girl had to be carried out, she was seizing and who knows what drugs she was on. My girls had their phones in fanny pack facing forward and someone stole both of their phones. The security is a joke. Don't plan to go there unless you are prepared to be victimized and surrounded by gang bangers. read more

Awesome venue!!! I went to the soft opening last night and it did not disappoint. Lots of great entertainment.. a band, a DJ and SCOTT STAPP! Yes, Scott Stapp from Creed. The sound system was amazing and there wasn't a bad spot in the entire venue. It's very spacious and can hold thousands of people. There are also a lot of separate bars there, which is nice. Having multiple bars will cut down the lines for sure. There is a small balcony area which I'm assuming is going to be for VIP's at concerts. There is a parking lot out front but it didn't seem very large. Public transportation or Uber seems like the way to go here. All of the staff was friendly too. I'm looking forward to going to concerts here! read more

I wanted to like it. I've been to my fair share of concert halls and festivals. My friends and I ended up coming here for Elrow and we had a great time. Easy to get in, plenty of bartenders, good people. Music at times was a little too loud which, hell I'm at a nightclub, these things happen and I didn't bring my noise filters, that was on me. Why the one star? After living in NYC, I don't know why beers are $16 (for a coors light/heiniken). Even at the nicest places, I wouldn't spend more than $12 beer, with a selection. I'm fairly sure that heiniken sponsors most dj/rave events so I STILL can't complain about the selection. But come on, $16? Main reason this place is getting 1 star was coat check. They can't run a coat check, the basic of basic things. When they gave me my coat, I told them there was 2 and the guy just shrugged his shoulders and said, "no there wasn't", and just helped the next person. Had another person help me and they said since "they couldn't find it, I'd have to wait until closing when everyone leaves then they could look for the other jacket". It's 3 am, I'm not waiting 2 hours for a jacket. Thankfully, after waiting for another employee to help me (45 mins later), he helped me get my 2nd jacket that 'did not have a number on it'. If you wanted me to pay for 2 hangers for two coats, that's fine, just tell me and I'll pay but I sat there and watched the employee hang my two coats on one hanger before I left. I wasn't the only person that was having problems, all customers were waiting 5-10 mins for coats, per person. Yes, there were the occasional, "I found it right away" but this was the exception, not the rule. It's a coat check guys, wtf. Disclaimer, I'm in my late 30's so maybe I'm just a curmudgeon-y old person. But if your going to bill your establishment as a high end nightclub, you need to do everything right. Waiting an hour for a coat is not acceptable. I'll come to Radius during the summer when I don't have a jacket and if there is something I am burning to go to. There are plenty of other places to check out in Chicago. This isn't one of my 'go to spots'. read more

There are definitely pros and cons here. The pros- this is actually a great space, with plenty of bathrooms and bars and a large coat-check area, and great acoustics. It's easy to get to. I'm told street parking is actually pretty easy but I prepaid for their parking lot (which is secure) and that worked out great. It is abnormally expensive for drinks. More expensive than the United Center or Soldier Field, actually. Drink prices are up all over the city but come on now. They have got to do something about their entry security. There are only like 3 or 4 lanes for several thousand people. They're checking IDs, giving you wristbands, checking purses, and wanding every individual before even checking tickets (maybe permanent metal detectors could speed some things along?). They open the doors at the same time the opening act goes on stage. What's up with that? No other venue I know does that. Some people actually want to see opening acts too. I got there perhaps ten minutes after doors opened and was outside in line for 40 minutes. No other venue I've been to is that bad. Give it like an hour before any live act, Radius. read more

Would never Recommend going here. Got removed by 5 security guards (three 25 year old women) for no explained reason and then harassed by several random men inside the venue who were recording us as well. Then as we were waiting for our Uber we were yelled at by security for waiting in their lot (about 30 feet away from the entrance) instead of across the street at about 2 am. So not really sure what their deal was but as a young woman I did not feel safe at all. It is 102 degrees outside and they forced VIP ticket holders to wait outside for 45 minutes. Several people almost passed out. Be prepared that logistics are not the best. Updating the review: The security staff really bumped up this review. There was a severely intoxicated person who punched my friend and they escorted her out pretty quickly. The venue itself is really nice and the acoustics are great, they just really need to get better at making sure patrons stay safe during delays during admission. read more

I just got home from a concert I attended there--and for the record the venue was overall great, super clean, friendly staff--after the show an illegal drag race started on the corner next to the venue. in a chaotic situation, security did everything they could to keep people safe while they waited for police to arrive. they directed concertgoers who hadn't caught on out of the street, made sure traffic from the concert left smoothly and safely, and really just did the absolute most, above and beyond. Thank you to the security at Radius for making sure everyone was safe. please treat yourself to something nice, you deserve it! read more

DO NOT COME TO THIS VENUE. I've been here twice, and both times there have been pick pocketers who targeted hundreds of people at both events. The first time I came to Radius, I was with a group of 30 friends for Tiesto and in my group alone, 16 people got their phones stolen. After the concert was over, there was an entire crowd of people who stayed behind to complain to the staff who offered no help. Second time I came back for El Row months later and both my friend and I had our phones taken, even though we were on high alert after our first experience there. I was hopeful that the first time was just by chance, but this is clearly a common theme for this venue and the staff is aware and has taken no action to prevent this from happening. I went to the grand opening last night (Dillon Francis) and I think Radius is going to be my new favorite venue. Nick Karounos did a great job with this. It was extremely organized and set times and door times were clear and correct (unlike the Aragon). Security and staff were all very nice and seemed happy to be there. The venue itself was spacious, well-decorated and clean. In addition to multiple bars, there's actually a counter for real food (burgers and fries), which is great because I don't always have time to eat before shows. The only downside is that the parking is extremely limited and costs $30. I'm looking forward to going back for Carl Cox and other shows. This is such a great addition to Chicago's music scene. Edit: One recommendation would be to add some seating, like what the Concord has. read more
