She is an exceptional physician and none of what follows reflects on her. The issue is entirely structural. Over the past year, Intermed has implemented scheduling requirements that make it nearly impossible to access routine care. Getting an appointment requires multiple calls, repeating your full medical history to different staff members each time just to be "approved," and even then telehealth is rarely an option regardless of how recently you were seen. Callbacks are inconsistent at best. As someone managing chronic health conditions, this is not workable. I understand physicians are given tight 15-minute windows and that this is out of physicians' control. But simple visits like medication management or a brief touchbase to relay specialist updates should not require weeks of effort just to get on the schedule. The friction rivals that of a specialist office, which is not what you expect from a primary care practice. Intermed is likely a fine fit for patients who need one annual physical and nothing more. For anyone requiring more frequent or complex primary care, I'd encourage you to weigh that carefully. It's a shame, because the quality of the physicians themselves doesn't match the experience the system creates around them. I will be transferring my care after months of trying to navigate their new system.

Hidden fees!! A plan of care was created for me after an evaluation. It was several sessions per…read moreweek. They told me it would be a $40 copay each session which felt steep, but they said it was the "most effective dosing" and referred me to a graph on a poster. After my first session, I told them that I didn't think my insurance would cover parts of treatment and that I was concerned with getting billed. I asked Dr Zagwyn to confirm with billing that it would only be a $40 copay and she did. Then I get a bill for $300 followed by an email that they had made an error but I was still responsible for the bill. I should also mention that while going through their many stations there is a lot of inappropriate conversation between staff as they "work" on you. There are many other honest chiropractors in town. Very disappointed with lack of transparency here.

Mention Dr. Katz as your primary care physician anywhere in the greater Portland area and you will hear "You're so lucky" and "I've heard he's excellent." He is well regarded in the medical community as an experienced, compassionate, and excellent doctor. To his patients, he is quite simply, the best. He truly cares about his patients, listens to them, and goes above and beyond to make sure that their health and well-being is his primary concern.

I was really hurting, and they took care of me with such care and professionalism. 1) They were proactive, constantly reaching out to me to make sure I had all of the appointments I needed, and they were always available to speak on a phone call. Their operation is incredibly well-oiled and organized. 2) Everyone from the receptionist, to the lab technician, to the physicians expressed real, genuine concern for my well-being. Their kindness meant so much. And I could see them interacting similarly with all of the other patients. 3) I had seen several teams of physicians, totaling probably 15 medical professionals prior to coming to Rheumatology Associates, and no one could crack the case of what was wrong with me. Dr. Kerouack and Dr. Gartner figured it out immediately, and quickly had me on the mend. I'm so thankful to this wonderful organization! They made me feel so safe and cared for. At no point did I feel pressured in anyway to do anything or feel anything. They are a faith based organization and they asked to pray with/for me at the of the end of the appointment. I thought it was wonderful as I can use all the goodness I can get. If you are looking for a resource to help put your mind at ease, these wonderful people will be there for you. It's easy to make an appointment and I only waited 5 minutes to see the nurse. She is an incredible person. I feel so lucky and blessed to have found these people.

My case was very time sensitive which I explained to Dr. Harre and she was very mindful of that and put a lot of effort to get me what I needed as quickly as possible which I really appreciated. When I had a concern recently I made an appointment and was seen without delay, which is a plus. Even if a problem is not life threatening it eases anxiety to be seen quickly and I was. This time the office staff was polite enough, but not very welcoming. Dr Harre was not as attentive as she had been in the past. I felt like my concern was not taken seriously. She prescribed an ointment which I had filled but which had no effect. I was not told to return if there was no improvement, which there wasn't. I went to another doctor who did a biopsy. In the end, my concern turned out not to be a serious matter but treating it with an ointment was pointless. My two experiences, many years apart, were like night and day with this office. If I ever need another dermatology visit I will have to look elsewhere.
