It was a pleasant night, so the outside seating was pretty packed. Since we were a large group, they gave us a table in the dining room. Service was good, as was the food. Everything was super fresh and made to order. We started with a very nice salad, olive oil and balsamic vinegar topped, delicious... Several pastas were served family-style, all were good, but the pork-based Bolognese sauce was the crowd favorite. We also enjoyed nice red and white wines with dinner. Recommend L'oste Sobrio if you're ever in the area.

This was one of my favorite dining experiences on this trip because of the food and service. Since it was only 6 pm, there were only a few other tables occupied. Upon walking in, everyone greets you and there is AC. Food: -Bergamo testing menu (25 euro): This was a great deal considering you get 4 courses and 3 beverages. The first course was a nice charcuterie plate with some polenta. The second course is a Bergamo speciality pasta called casoncelli which is basically their version of a meat ravioli. I'm usually underwhelmed by meat ravioli, but this one was very fragrant and perfectly al dente. Next came braised beef in red wine with potenta. I'm not a fan of polenta in general, but it is a staple in Bergamot. The beef was very tender and fell apart easily. Dessert was a piece of chocolate cake that is homemade by the owner's mother. They use Callebaut chocolate so you get a nice dark chocolate flavor. You also get 3 beverages: water, red wine, and a coffee with dessert. -Golosa pizza (8.50 euro): This pizza was sprinkled with gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, and slices of sweet pears. The crust was thin and the middle wasn't soggy like the pizzas you find in Naples. The size is also big enough to share between two people. Service: -Allan is hands down one of the best servers. Ever. He welcomed our questions and was a great conversationalist. He did a great job of not only explaining each dish, but he gave us the story behind each dish so that we walked away with not just food to fill our bellies, but also great memories. Ask for Allan if you come here!

There is a fancy restaurant at the back, but I preferred eating in the much cozier front albergo that is frequented by the locals. I ordered the pizza diavola and it looked like they used pepperoni (did not know that was even in Italy), canned olives and bagged shredded cheese. The separation of oils also led me to suspect it had been reheated. My friend ordered the rabbit on polenta and the polenta looked more like soup, the rabbit was incredibly greasy and it arrived in only a couple of minutes. I had panna cotta for desert, one of the simplest dishes to make but it comes out with a texture like cheesecake and fake strawberry syrup sprayed all over the plate. The 20-minute drive from Brescia--past olive groves, villas, and hills--was a perfect warm-up. Arriving at the villa-style entrance, framed by boxwoods and iron gates, felt like visiting a warm, welcoming home. A minimalist room in black, grey, and red greeted us, backed by a lush garden. With two Michelin stars and Chef Philippe Léveillé at the helm, this elegant restaurant offered more than a meal--it was timeless culinary artistry, blending classic technique with modern flair. Tableside presentations introduced bold, signature dishes. Each offered a simple takeaway: delicious, time after time. Open for 55 years, with two Michelin stars for 24, the restaurant's service was always warm and lively. *Not to Miss Menu Items* "#Iwantedtobeatomato!!" A vibrant red dome hid delicate prawn tartare and buffalo mozzarella, topped with gazpacho. Yes, that really is the name listed on the menu. "Triumph of Onions Almost Venetian Style" This dish elevates humble onions, pairing them with foie gras and a rich reduction--velvety, sweet, and earthy. Comfort food in haute couture. "Signature Mushrooms & Cheese Risotto" The family recipe risotto: the best I've ever had. Creamy yet al dente, packed with mushrooms and sweet mountain cheese. A menu staple for decades; now I know why. *A Cheese Cart That Stops Time* The legendary double cheese cart is a mobile museum of Europe's best fromageries. Dozens of varieties are presented with expert narration. It's a generous, indulgent, edible masterclass. *Cream Ice Cream* Just when I thought I'd tasted it all, Cream Ice Cream appeared. Made with local milk, eggs, Lake Garda lemons, Tahitian or Madagascar vanilla, and untreated sugar, it's scooped tableside. Heaven. Final Thoughts: A Meal Worth the Journey Miramonti l'Altro is a pilgrimage for food lovers. From experimental (#Iwantedtobeatomato!!) to traditional (risotto and ice cream), Miramonti honors its roots while embracing the future. If you're in northern Italy, make the detour. You'll talk about this meal for years. Bravo, chef! Fan forever.

Out of nowhere this lovely Villa behind gates and lighted up in the evening appeared. It was beautiful! The atmosphere is a mix between old world beauty and modern cuisine and service. The servers were everywhere they needed to be and nowhere they did not. They were not fussy, stuffy, just perfect. This is yes, what I describe more as fancy food or meal experience....not somewhere to just go and have some pasta, although, I am sure you could! I was delighted to see several menu options, tasting, and ala carte. Our table of three choose a tasting menu with 3 main components. However, there were several courses the chef brought out to compliment the meal. For example an amuse bouche, another course of bread/sardines with a metal tube of green herbed sauce, and an unbelievable after the dessert/cheese mini pastry tray. Hands down the best cheese carts (yes 2 full carts) I have ever experienced anywhere. If I could have put more food in my mouth I would!
