Has anyone ever tried to sell you a time share? That's exactly what this experience felt like,…read moreexcept instead of getting free breakfast I spent $200 and left with my self-esteem in the gutter. I booked myself a facial as a rare self-care treat in the hopes that I could relax and enjoy being pampered for an hour. When I arrived, I was asked to complete a form and then sat with a sales associate for 20 minutes as they prepped me for the sales pitch to come post-treatment. The salesperson showed me a series of before and after photos of women who had been granted permission to purchase 12-month packages to the tune of $300/month. (They tell you it is only offered if your skin responds to the treatment-a classic snake oil sales tactic.) When I asked what happens if my skin shows no improvement after the facial, she said I would be "given a hug and told I needed botox and fillers". At this point, I was kicking myself for booking a service here (really curious how they have 5 stars) but was hoping at least the facial would be nice and then I could just pay and leave. I went to use the restroom (which was very dirty) and went into the treatment room with the person who did my service. At the time of booking, I was assigned Duran, the aesthetician on their website who had great reviews. When I arrived, they assigned me someone else without notice. The other aesthetician (Kristen?) was nice and knowledgable, but I felt so uncomfortable from my first 20 minutes in this place it was hard to relax. She took up close photos of my face with top-down lighting as "before" and "after" pictures. I was not asked permission and felt really uncomfortable with this. At this point, I realized I made a huge mistake in coming here. I also knew the hard sell was going to hit me as soon as I was done. I was offered a glass of water and told to sit down and drink it while the salesperson showed me the pictures of my face and neck, pointing out every imperfection she could find. She said I responded "beautifully" to the treatment (I honestly looked worse afterwards) and offered me the $3,600 package to help me "turn back the years". When I declined, she offered me 40% off of a $375 serum and $250 exfoliating peel. While the products seemed nice, I was so off-put by the entire experience I asked to just pay for the facial and leave. I'm leaving one star because Kristen was nice and zero stars is not an option on here. If you are looking for a relaxing spa treatment without the hassle I went through, I suggest looking elsewhere.

If you are looking for a true facial and relaxing experience, avoid this place at all costs. There…read morewas nothing "spa-like" about the Bend Beauty Spa. I decided to treat myself as they were running a special and was really looking forward to it. As soon as I arrived the high pressure sales began. I felt as if I was in a timeshare presentation. It was the exact opposite of the experience I was seeking. When you are taken back for the "facial," the lights are brightly lit in the room and never dimmed, you remain in your normal clothes and lay on top of a table...it isn't heated...there are no blankets, it's not the typical environment you would expect. It's cold and uninviting. Duran is nice and full of compliments but I felt it was all part of the schtick. The whole time they are trying to make a pitch to sell their medical grade red light therapy wand and their overly priced products. It lasts about 40 minutes, but I couldn't wait to get out of there so I was happy it was cut short. Once the "facial" is done, you sit with their sales ppl and that's where they try to close you on a 6500.00 purchase showing you several before/after photos of clients. I have no idea how this place has such good reviews. I can only imagine these individuals have never had a real facial and don't have a proper comparison. There was nothing relaxing about it. It was a waste of money and a horrible experience. Really makes me question reviews now.

First, the space is beautiful, it's comfortable and not the "hip sterile environment" that a lot of spas go for (don't get me wrong, it's incredibly clean!). Both ladies were very kind and welcoming as soon as I walked in the door. Jill was very attentive and her bubbly personality is sincere and is so refreshing. I had a deluxe facial and loved every minute! This is by far the best facial I've had! I was so relaxed I could hardly believe it. Her technique is on point and the products she used left my skin feeling and looking amazingly fresh. I will definitely be coming in for regular facials! Thank you Jill!

I have struggled to find someone in Bend that does Brazilian's, and does them well. I'm happy to…read moresay, the search has ended. Thank you, thank you, Jill!! I've moved around a great deal and have always utilized this type of service. Thus, I've had plenty of experience (sugar, hard, cloth strips, tweezing...all that fun stuff). It seems that most of those "waxing" in Bend, use hard wax versus wax with cloth strips. The end result (in my experience) has been it takes longer (one must wait for the wax to harden), it leaves more wax residue (ugh...), it doesn't pull out the hair as well (I was told it works better for those "hard to get" areas...meh!), and really isn't any more comfortable (I've been told it's not supposed to hurt as much...there's just no getting past that part). Luckily, Jill uses cloth strips (what I'm used to, and has always seemed to work the best) and I must say....there was not one bit of waxy residue and there wasn't a single stray hair to be found. I was in and out in a jiffy and couldn't be happier. I can't recommend Jill highly enough! If a Brazilian is what you're looking for...well....this is the place!
