This is regarding Radiance Dental on east La Palma , Anaheim. I went for a cleaning and Dr Eman wanted to do a full set of x-rays which I supplied to her. I just had that done 5 months ago with the last cleaning. I refused to do that. Then she wanted to check for deep pockets and I told her I wasn't interested in that either having had it done in the recent past. I explained that I was a physician and would sign any forms she wanted me to signify that I was refusing her suggestions. She wasn't allowing me to refuse procedures that I didn't want and said she would not do the cleaning. I haven't been pressured this much since the last time I bought a used car. I had the best experience at dr Mikhail . I came in with a toothache and found out I had an abscess on my tooth. It needed to be extracted and I was given the option to have an implant or leave the gap. No pressure. I opted to leave it due to my age. You will never have any pain, not even the needle going in since she nums your gums beforehand. would I recommend her? 100% She is the best dentist I have ever gone to, and I had my share. 5 stars is not enough. I want to start by saying that I typically don't leave reviews, but I had to because of the amazing experience I had. Dr. Mikhail was incredibly patient, understanding, and handled everything with ease. I mentioned that I had to leave in about a week, and they were able to squeeze me into their schedule. She removed two of my wisdom teeth without me feeling a thing, and she also took care of a couple of cavities I had. Despite the condition of my teeth, she never made me feel bad and was so kind throughout the process. My personal feelings are that this is a very disingenuous dental office after my visit. Below is my recap of my visit and dealing with them. I went to this dentist because of the closeness to my home for a cleaning. I had heard it was a good dental office from a co-worker. I had been going to a dentist in Yucaipa for the past 5 years. Cleanings every 6 months so I was confident I would need a cleaning that would not take a long time and be so deep as the hygienist that I was going to said I was doing great now. When I went in to the office I was greeted by Edward. Completed the paperwork and after a wait I was seated in the back. X-rays and a good look over. After they were done with X-rays and a look over I was told I needed an extensive cleaning that my insurance would not cover. I also asked about a sharp tooth I had on the upper left side. I asked what the cleaning I would get with the insurance and was told I just got it. Really??!! Just a look at my teeth and a little poking around was my cleaning that your billing my insurance for??????. Are you serious??? On top of that they were very pushy on the treatment they wanted you to do. I will be contacting my insurance to see what they billed for. I was then told how much I needed to pay for cleaning and a filling replacement. Over $1400.00!!!??? And the kicker is that no one provided me with a written estimate for services... No I wonder why???!!! I told Edward I had to think about my treatment as I have been getting cleanings every 6 months for the past 5 years and I was told by my old dentist I had been doing well with my cleanings and did not have issues. The filling was something else. Edward kept texting me for an appointment date so I asked for my estimate and Edward never sent it just asked what day I could come in. This should concern everyone that visits this location. When asked for an estimate one should be provided right???? I would think so. I have posted the txt where I asked Edward for my Estimate of services. Every dentist I have ever went to has provided an estimate for service every time.. This makes me weary of the operations here.. Why wouldn't this dentist provide a written estimate????? Well I waited for 6 months and went back to my old dentist. The deep cleaning took about 15 minutes as my teeth were still fairly clean with no buildup on them. As for the sharp tooth. It was from grinding and not a cavity. I was shown my X-rays. No cavity or broken filling as radiance dental had said I had at that tooth. Just a quick grind of the sharp area and I was on my way from a different dentist. Again, just my personal opinion, Watch out for this place. They seem to be shady with their practices. They also try to pressure you to take treatment for things you really do not need. This practice was recently sold to a new dentist who is STRICTLY BUSINESS (illegitimate business that is). The previous dentist was an absolute joke and I spent thousands of dollars on very poor crown work that failed within 2 years. Unfortunately the new woman that took over for the previous dentist REFUSED to work with me and take care of the work that the other dentist had failed miserably at. She was so rude and condescending to me, telling me it's not her responsibility to take care of it since it was the other dentist who did the work. Well that's not how business works. When you take over a dental practice, you assume responsibility for warranties and potential issues with dental work within the 2-5 year average "warranty" for crowns. After clearly expressing my disappointment with them, they had the nerve to continually call me and my family individually, "kindly reminding" us that we were due for a check up. Ok, so we are in your database of patients that you cold call, but you refuse to take care of work that needs to be fixed?! What a joke. Let me start with BEST DENTIST EVER. I came is for jaw pain and they were able yo see right away as a walk-in and I ended up doing my cleaning 6 month check up while I was there and Dr. Mikhail noticed my fake tooth which is one of my very front teeth (I ha r always been very insecure about it and my previous dentist didn't do a good job at fixing) and asked me about then told me about a better fix for my tooth that would look much natural. So I decided yo move forward with this new tooth. Dr. Mikhail went above and beyond yo accommodate me and she gave me her honest opinion when it came to selecting the shade for my tooth and didn't let settle for anything less than perfect for my tooth. She expressed to me the importance of making sure I was 110% satisfied because it was going to be a tooth in the front and the first thing people would see. She was also willing to come in early, stay on her lunch or stay after hours just to accommodate my schedule. The rest of the staff is also amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. Overall so amazing! When I first arrived to the office, I was really impressed with how clean and calming the environment felt like. The staff are very professional, kind, very friendly and we're welling to help and explain the process of whats about to happen. When I met Dr. Mikhail and she explained exactly what she was going to do each time, she extracted my tooth in no time, I'm not exasperating when I say I didn't feel anything. I do not like going to the dentist, so I hesitate to say that I enjoyed my dental visit with Dr Nguyen. But I did! I am an enormous sissy when it comes to the dentist, and it was actually a pain-free and enjoyable experience. I liked how the hygienist explained everything to me, and exactly why it was important. That was something that I had neglected to learn, or just was never taught before. Then the Dr was very friendly, and checked in on me several times to make sure that I was okay even though he was busy. Nice to know that I actually matter! I am going to recommend this to my Mom, since she is even more afraid of the Dentist than I am, so I will update this, if I remember, when she goes if there is any reason. Five star! Dr. Nguyen and is staff is very professional and truly cares about their patients. I'm one of those people that believes nothing is wrong with my teeth until my boyfriend urged me to go get it checked out by dr.nguyen. I was very hesitant at first because it's been 2+ years but he was so persistent and went and made me an appt. Dr. Nguyen and The entire staff was really nice considering the fact that I was over an hour late to my appt due to traffic. I came in and filled out my new patient form and was in right away! His assistant took my xray and kept apologizing for it being painful but it wasn't her fault. So I thought that was sweet. Then dr. Nguyen came and looked over my X-rays and told me what's wrong and what needed to be worked on. Afterwards they cleaned my teeth and there was a huge difference.
