I paid $250 for a CT scan, only to be given a CD that my endodontist couldn't even open. Now, I'm having to return for a new CD to give to a different oral surgeon (since I no longer trust this office and need a new referral anyway, even tho I was originally referred here to this oral surgeon). I was told my CD with the results of the scan would be ready at 1:30 pm. I arrived at 1:45 pm, but it wasn't ready. By 2:36 pm, I was told the CD didn't even have the image on it--likely the same issue from the start. When I asked about a refund, the staff argued that what I paid for was "the scan," not the CD. But as a patient, when you pay $250 for imaging, you should expect access to your records in a usable format. I never actually received what I paid for, and the lack of accountability and professionalism has been extremely frustrating. I stayed 10 minutes after they closed the clinic waiting for a resolution, didn't get my CD, didn't get offered a refund and not even a single apology. Just eye rolls and attitude.

The $295 fee was told to me during scheduling and I understood the need as the issue couldn't be found with a simple X-ray. Actually, no issue was found with an X-ray. If it weren't for the scan, my issue wouldn't have been found. With the pain I'm in, I am happy to pay to find answers. I know this gets people super mad that they have to pay it but that is an insurance problem. If you want to get to the root of your needs, this is probably very necessary. 2. From the moment I walked in the office until the moment I left, the entire staff was so kind to me. I asked questions, they answered. I even called when I got home because I wanted to clarify some items, they were completely informative and answered everything I needed. 3. I would have been able to get this taken care of the very next day if I needed it. That's always a plus considering the pain I'm in. Overall the process was smooth and painless. This was a consultation only and I do go in for the actual work next week. I will definitely follow up for a second part based on experience. So far, I recommend this place.

Here on Yelp, it says they are oral surgeons. THIS ISNT TRUE. I came on Saturday due to crazy wisdom tooth pain. Dr Z insisted I needed a CT scan. I told him I got one done on Thursday (two days prior) with my dentist but he said he needed to do his own. Which he says it's $450 but for new patients it is discounted to $200. I was desperate and needed something so I paid for it. He then went over the CT scan and said the way my wisdom tooth is positioned, required an oral surgeon.... Which again I thought that's where I was at. Whatever, I let it go. He said he was going to consult with the oral surgeon he works closely with (entirely different practice) on Monday. Before I left his office, he said he would call me at 12 pm after the consultation. 2 pm rolls around today (Monday) no call. I called and the receptionist (who was watching tv very loudly by the way) said she would call Dr z and call me back. Instead I get this text saying to go ahead and just call the oral surgeon. Which then I texted back saying I thought Dr Z was going to call me first. Within seconds of sending that text, I get a call from Dr Z and it was quite condescending. He said "do you remember I told you that I was going to consult with the oral surgeon? Do you remember that me and you already consulted when you came in?" I then said " yes but you then said you'd call me at 12 pm because you were going to discuss if I needed emergency extraction or if I can wait" and then he tried to backtrack and say "oh ya I had to talk to the oral surgeon (Dr Wilson) but he was busy this morning so I called him again a few minutes ago and they're expecting your call." Dr. Z also said he went over the CT scan and sent it over to Dr Wilson's office. Well... I called Dr Wilson's office and they confirmed they didn't receive the ct scan. I feel totally misled by this dentist office. It's clear that they're a newer business, maybe even a newer dentist? Not sure. He even made a comment and said that I had nice teeth with no cavities but I'm literally going to my original dentist for a filling this week lol. I told him "I do have one, I'm getting a filling for it" for which he responded "I can do a full check if you'd like".... Uhhh you just said I didn't have any so are you thoroughly looking at the x rays and ct scans that you insisted I had to get done? He also couldn't accept my care credit card even though they have a sign saying they take it. It kept "declining" although it's absolutely working. I tried to explain to him that you can't just swipe a care credit card you have to input the info but I don't think he knows how to do it. So I'm chalking it up to dr Z maybe being a newer dentist, newer business and hoping patients no longer fall through the cracks when it comes to coordinating care with other providers from here on out. It's a beautiful office but aesthetics isn't everything. I'd rather have a run down office that provides quality care. I mean well and work in healthcare myself, so hoping this review will be taken as constructive criticism and hopefully Z Dental will do better for future patients.
