When I first started looking for a company to work with, I messaged several different photographers and Carmen was the only person I felt at ease collaborating with. Not only did she reply very quickly, her responses were positive & supportive. I was honestly what one would call a complex client as I was unsure of what I really wanted but that is why Carmen is so great! She helped me execute my vision given my directions were quite vague. When time came for the shoot, Carmen led me throughout the session making it effortless! After an hour session we were able to get many shots AND an outfit change in all the while I was sluggish barely being able to move around much at 38 weeks pregnant! The shoot was a success and after a week Carmen and Ryan emailed me the results. I was very happy with the outcome but requested a couple edits and sure enough they made it happen! I was going through my first pregnancy and I was overwhelmed with all the stress and insecurities that come with pregnancy, however Reaction Photography captured my maternity shots seamlessly! I had found Carmen on Yelp (I'm a big Yelper who listens to reviews) and when I spoke with her on the phone I knew I had found the right person. We were a group of 29 family members, ranging in age from 3 -85 years old . We had 3 sets of families and we needed numerous pictures taken at Gallagher Park. Carmen arrived on time and ready to go. She was professional and truly got every photo we needed. She was calm and helpful and knew exactly what to do. Due to my concern about the weather Carmen was flexible throughout, and was happy to continue taking photos at an inside venue if needed (thankfully the weather was fine and we were able to take all the photos outside). If you are looking for an excellent, creative, professional photographer for any event no need to look further! Carmen is simply the BEST!

She had me feed my little one right before the session so he was full and sleepy. She then took the time to gently and carefully wrap him in blankets, put on little hats, etc. She has a shushing machine that plays a sort of white noise that my little one seemed to like. I really enjoyed watching her creativity as she moved from set to set in her studio and I even got to make a few little suggestions. It was just a fun experience overall. About a week later I went back into the studio to choose the images that I wanted to purchase, and then the final images were ready in about five weeks. She offers various packages as far as prints and digital images. Her prices are definitely not cheap but I'd say they're justified due to the absolutely beautiful end results and the smooth process. Brandy is also just a great person. She is kind and genuine, and has a way of making you feel comfortable right away.

She had some tricks to soothe and calm our newborn and made it extremely easy for us -- exhausted as we were at the time. The photos were terrific. I also used her more recently to take some profile shots for social media sites (linkedin, etc..). These turned out great. She has a great eye for lighting and shadow and attention to detail.
