The first time the battery was dead because they left the key on. We finally got it jumped but then the engine wouldn't go over 8mph because of the missing part. The part was endlessly backordered so it finally went on this week. It still wouldn't start. It turns out the fuel line they used to replace the old one was a POS and had pieces of plastic broken off and blocking the line. We had an older motor boat with a 2 stroke Johnson engine. I'm not a mechanic but I've been told by many that 2 strokes are pretty simple engines but they couldn't figure it out or do the job right. Do Not Go Here!

I needed to have some service done on my older Evinrude outboard, and figured this would be easy given that I live in the Sebago Lake area. Nope. I got the runaround from a lot of marinas: "we don't do that here" or "try so-and-so out on Rt. xx" or "we don't work on older motors" etc. I called Worster's, and they were immediately helpful. They got me in quickly, the work was done in under a week (in April - which is when everyone is pulling out their boats and looking for various services), they were very flexible, knowledgeable and kind. I value this type of customer service. You can also tell it's a family run operation, and they treat their customers as if they value their business. Their prices were definitely reasonable, more than fair for the quality of work done. Actually, I was surprised that the bill wasn't higher! The location is also pretty convenient, out on 35, easy to get to. I was very happy with my experience here and will definitely be returning to Worster's for my future needs. I would recommend them to anyone else, especially if you've got an older outboard which may be hard to find someone to work on.

If you are seeking peace and quiet, I would look for other options. But the water in the lake was relatively warm (ideal for swimming compared to the frigid waters of Maine's coastline). Also, the water was very clear and clean. One interesting note is that Sebago Lake provides the water supply for the entire city of Portland, ME. The tap water there had a delicious, clean taste from the fresh water of Sebago Lake.

They are located across the street from the local beach on beautiful Sebago Lake. This is the kind of place you will NOT need a cottage key to lock up. They were surprised when we requested for one. My family and I flew in for a weeks vacation and did not realize they do not offer: Toilet Paper or Shower Towels. Luckily the little general store next door has most household items. They also require you to do most of the cottage cleaning prior to check out- which was at an early 9:30am! We had lots of privacy, use of the camp fire, free admission to the beach. I've learned now, after 20 years of living here, that Maine "horse people" generally can have less social politeness and more straight-forward/gruff info delivery than others are used to. She did yell to be heard by the whole group and also did reprimand when teaching, which can be off putting. Bottom line, I think she wants everyone to be safe. You'll have a nice peaceful ride walking through the lovely trails and meadows!

Ok, so I'm by NO means a campground person. This year I was convinced to join another couple families for their yearly trip to On the Saco Campground and I'm glad I did. It's not a huge place, but it's very well kept and VERY clean. No smelly outhouses or grimy bathrooms, both were maybe a little rustic but in good working order and again, very clean. My site was tree lined giving plenty of privacy, nicely mowed and had a fire ring. I don't know if they employ some kind of mosquito management but for a wooded site about 80ft from water, I didn't get one bite over my 3 night stay. There's a little store with pretty much any essential you may have forgotten for sale, small game room, washer/dryer, and dishwashing area. You can rent tubes and canoes, (I did both) and the staff is super friendly and helpful, (especially when we got caught in the rain and they came to pick us up earlier and at a different location than intended). They had some kind of activity everyday, I saw face painting one afternoon by the office, there was a glow stick parade one night, corn-hole tournament the next, and a movie night the third. A lot of Saco campground are shitshows, (I'm talking about you Fiddlehead!) full of wasted college kids, this place IS NOT THAT. If that's what you want, keep moving. However, if you're looking for a clean, friendly place that is definitely family friendly and a more peaceful but still fun experience I'd recommend On the Saco Family Campground for sure.

You can become a deckhand and hoist sails, or just do what I did--chillax! The 33' Grace is very comfortable, with ample room for a maximum of six passengers. We had fabulous weather, and Captain Dave delivered big time on the promised seal sightings (and one dolphin). I only sailed twice previously at home in NJ; this was far more enjoyable! If I return to Freeport I'll take a six-hour cruise!

Now want to preface by saying Ive been 420weed since 1986 at 13 years old. We could rent a campsite nearby for $40 and be on the DL and smoke a pound and no one would GAF. Also it's Maine. No one cares about weed smoking, 30 years ago it was grow house central, keeping propane in business. It's my fault for leaving RI at 5am to beat July traffic and having time to kill, so actually arrived at 9am and no one was around. So sorry wanted to take a look at the prize site. We went to the Wildlife Zoo near Portland to kill time. Having already been to Bridgeton and the area before we drove around then arrived back at 2pm. Didnt bring any bud because its not legal in NH like it is here in RI and didnt want to risk it. So went down the dirt trail at 2pm. The prize winner was fully disabled, she won the cabin for a night, a full day then bounced at 11am not exactly a "3 day" but hey it was a free prize. Trin was a bit standoffish about showing up before 3pm. She wanted to charge $20 for early check in, nope thanks I guess the disability placard means we dont have different needs than other guests. So that set the tone. Said nope, we will be back in an hour, thanks so much. Nice A frame cabin tho, sweet deck with a fire pit cold A/C. Solid choice if money is no object. Fire wood was provided and a rented cooler. Immaculate cabin. So we went up the wood stairs to the common area. Pretty cool smoking area they provide bongs and other stuff. Gotta BYOBud and stores are nearby. Shower stalls are available and that was a plus showering in actual Poland Spring water from the tap can be invigorating. After an awkward intro with Trin, she smoked with us and recommended an ok Mexican restaurant nearby. Gonna give my take on Trin: She kinda needs to be guarded as a rule because she doesnt know who is showing up from where. She may want to make her website more specific about rules such as check-in. Lotta ppl probably look the place up and show up at all hours. First night we just wanted to get a fire going and chill. Loud party at common, was just fine we enjoyed the cabin. Some loudass drunk chick was piping up around midnight. Whatever, they say no booze but IDGAF even tho we didnt bring any as per rulebook. The grounds are wicked nice. Good trails, rivers, pond with a dam. They offer some breakfast goodies, this aint Hampton Inn no waffle maker The A-frame is apart from the main area but near and not for those with disabilities. Restrooms are communal in the main area and its a climb up 6x6 planks with a rope to hold onto. Price vs value very debatable. Probably a good place to trip balls not just burn a few bowls or communal bong hits at that price. Cannabis capitalism campsite. BYOW
