Parking was a little confusing since you had to make your own spot as it got super crowded at one point but thankfully it wasn't an issue since we left plenty of time. If you're coming here to run a race or ride bikes, plan for it to be windy and full of dust. I'm glad we had face coverings! My only complaint for Spartan is they didn't have more places for shade because it got pretty toasty at 80 degrees. Otherwise, it was a great location and a great set up for a race! We're hooked and already planning our next race for the trifecta this year

I didn't do said race, opting instead to use my voucher for the 21k in Big Bear. However, I figured I should experience it myself someday... well that day turned into a two-year time-skip. A dusty landscape with lots of mini spiky plant balls and weather teetering between 90 and 100 deg F, it's not the most scenic of places, but as an obstacle course there's some beauty to its emptiness. The dryness of the surrounding mountains made up the first portion of the race for both the 5k and 10k races (no 21k). Dust kicked up relatively easily from the runners, but overall, the course was clean. The route then weaved through the racetracks, passing pipe tunnels, and into certain rocky areas of a dried-up riverbed before coming back to the racetracks. When I volunteered to do the pre-run on Sunday, I got a good sense of how tranquil riding a motorbike around here might feel during the early mornings or early evenings. During Spartan days, cars drive early morning into Magee Rd instead of the main entrance to funnel between staff, volunteers, and the general crowd. The drive is kinda bumpy, and without signs it was difficult to find your way out. With that said, it was a fun weekend not too far from LA.

When calling around for who would have the best services, Not only did they say they would have it done before then, but these guys ended up keeping my bros bike for a few months after making up excuses and saying they don't do Nibbi carbs so the original carb and intake got dropped off; and then out of nowhere we get a call saying the bike is "ready for pick up" and it's in the SAME EXACT condition as when It was dropped it off! Can you believe that?! These guys didn't even touch the bike! Dirt still in the carb, Nibbi still on there and they all of a sudden lost the very unique intake we dropped off with the OG CARB and they said it wasn't there. Scammed us for the bros hard earned money, didn't even touch the bike, and even STOLE parts from the bike!!!! Beyond deliberately wicked scammer activities going on here! Holding the bike hostage making us pay a gang of money for not even touching it?!?! I know GOD will Handle it but I absolutely had to at least leave a review! It's not right I don't want to see anybody else get screwed over like that!

So I turned to Yelp and started asking around. That's how I ended up at Nlabs. Right off the bat, Nik was really freaking nice and had me come in asap to get a look at my car and to let me look at all the colors and brands he had available. I went in with a certain color in mind so I looked through ALL of his samples. Multiple times. Gotta give Nik major props for being so kind and patient with me through that in itself lol. He was very honest. He told me the brands he stands by and gave me all the information needed. He was never pushy. I never felt forced or pressured to give him my business. I left that day with a quote and all his contact info. Again, no pressure from him. I left not knowing I would end up getting my car wrapped with him. I went on to get different quotes from different businesses. Most of them made it sound like removing the old wrap was going to be a huge hassle. And you know what, maybe it was, but either way it had to get done. Not long after, I ended up reaching out to Nik again. I cannot stress how freaking kind and accommodating this guy is! That's mainly why I ended up going with him. And because he seems to have a true passion for what he does. And because he was very informative about every thing. And because he seemed as excited to wrap my baby as I was lol. The car turned out AMAZING! I got a color completely different from what I had in mind but my gosh it's beautiful. I've already gotten several compliments out and about. Nik kept me in the loop the whole time he had my car. Even after delivery, I'm still in contact with him. I've taken the car once so he could wash it for the first time and look for anything he felt needed to be gone over again. He told me to contact him again if I need to take the car in to fix any bubbles or anything that might arise the longer the wrap sits. The last wrap place never did this. I cannot stress enough what an amazing choice it was to take my car here with Nik and his team. If you're looking to get your vehicle wrapped or rewrapped or just removal please go see Nik. You will not regret it. Excellent customer service!!! 11/10 would recommend

Zombies beware... this girl can run trails! Yes... I climbed over the boulders (at the time, they…read morefelt like mountains) and ran through the woods! She Runs was the smallest local race I've ran... so far! I wasn't planning on running this race because of that fact and I loathe trail running. But, I happen to be "given" the challenge when a friend couldn't run it due to a dreaded runner's injury (I forgot which one she had). I've been told before that if you're used to running on pavement, running on trails can be more difficult because the surface absorbs more of your energy. In other words, you're using energy to compress the ground and you get less of it back as "bounce"; therefore, you have to put more in to go at your normal pace. Well, I found out during this race that the difficulty applied to my running life. Lesson learned from my 13.1 trail run: 1) It is more mentally and physically demanding. 2) Due to the trail's uneven surface, I had to use more stabilizing muscles that I don't use much on the road. And... once my muscles got tired, my form went to crap. No wonder my entire body is hurtin'. 3) It felt like I burned twice the calories from this race than any other race. 4) The reward is definitely worth the work = more food consumption and dranks to numb the sore muscles. Ha. Your swag includes a cool shirt & a nice "pink" medal. At the end, you are greeted with healthy goodies (bananas, grapes, oranges) & yummy goodies (cakes, muffins, cakes and cakes) and liquid replenishers (water and gatorade - what no beer!? ). I normally crave healthy snacks after a long run, but I exhausted all calories during this race. Therefore... I am guilty of devouring all yummy goodies available - but after the healthy goodies. I will probably think twice about doing this run again (like ever). Trail runs are fun in a way that they are very scenic... but the beating my calves, ankles, & toes took makes it not worthwhile. Overall, I think She Runs did an awesome job coordinating this race. The race starts at 8 am so be prepared to run in dry heat. Parking was not a problem... you get directed to a trail type dirt parking area. Just give yourself enough time to use the porta potty coz they only had three at the finish line. That is all. Happy Running.

After checking the vehicle, he let us know that everything looked great and there was nothing that needed fixing.
