Since going to a…read morerestaurant with 8 adults would not be a pleasant experience with all of the COVID restrictions, we decided to host from our home. As I wanted to enjoy the evening and not be stuck in the kitchen cooking, cleaning and serving food, I decided to reach out to Leslie for help. I had never engaged a personal chef before, so the experience was new to me entirely. Leslie proved to be the best choice I could have ever made...she is a true professional. She was able to competently guide me through the menu selection process patiently (her menu is extensive and it all looks and sounds delicious). Leslie offers a full menu, including hors d'oeuvres, soups, entrees and desserts. Upon her arrival at our home, Leslie quietly and efficiently found her way around my kitchen, had everything prepared and engaged her amazing assistant Janet to serve wine for our arriving guests. The food, starting with hors d'oeuvres was divine. It all tasted lovely, our guests were so happy and we were able to enjoy the evening focusing on our company rather than me having to cook. The entree, we chose the beef tenderloin with a mushroom risotto and grilled vegetables, was fantastic. Everything was prepared to perfection, we were pampered with extras and our wine glasses never ran empty. From start to her divine panna cotta dessert, we felt like royalty and Leslie and Janet made sure we had no want. To add to all of this: Leslie left my kitchen squeaky clean, dishwasher running and I had nothing to do but to enjoy the rest of our evening. She did all of this for a cost that is less than taking a group out to dinner at a nice restaurant. Sounds too good to be true? It's true. I would recommend Leslie to anyone who wants to entertain in style and enjoy the evening with friends rather than having to stand in the kitchen all night. Leslie knows exactly what is needed for a complete, worry free catering. Her team arrived an hour before the brunch, had the table set up and the hot cinnamon rolls out of the oven by the time people started to arrive; and, after everybody left, the kitchen looked like nobody had been there! David immediately responded to my request with a personal call and we discussed options and dates. We ended up getting a 4 course experience for the 4 of us and he offered our 6 yr old's meal included at no extra. After the gift was delivered he scheduled a call with myself and my father to discuss the choices. This process was the best because when guided us both to amazingly complimentary foods. At this point we added 2 extras to the experience which chef accommodated at an extremely reasonable up charge. Communication was over the top great which is essential for putting on an event like this. Chef was on time and made himself at home in the kitchen. So on to the food.... Amazing appetizers, The mushroom caps with sweet cheese and pork, could have eaten 20. The ahi tuna crostini was unique because of how tiny the cubes of avocado and tuna as well as the quality of the tuna... the light sauce capped it off, it was just fantastic. The second course was a goat cheese fresh spring salad. With strawberries. I forget the dressing but i don't like salads and I finished mine first. Third was a beef tenderloin with a special Demi glaze, Kahlúa green beans (amazing!) and Gouda mashed potatoes. Everything cooked to perfection. Final course was key lime pie with a homemade whipped cream. My aunt joined us as well and has been making key lime pies for 30+ years. She said it was better than any she had made. Can't forget the kids meal. He made fresh, yes FRESH crispy chicken tenders with Mac and cheese. We said she doesn't like too overwhelming flavors so he pulled back on some of the salt etc. I have never seen my daughter mow down mac and cheese that wasn't Annie's from a box. The kids food was solid and made from scratch. Top notch. Chef cleaned up everything and was out the door within 30 min of us finishing our meal. She left me with ZERO time to book someone else and completely RUINED our plans. I was DEVASTATED! To this day she has never called or texted. I booked a private dinner for my family of 12 to be served in our large rental. It was a busy time between Christmas and New Years and we both understood this and between emails and text messages worked out what we needed. Just a few details left and I told Cynthia I would be in the Keys Friday Morning. Our last communication was Thursday with no indication she was not interested in catering our dinner. I contacted her Friday morning at 9:30am when I landed in Miami as our private chef meal was scheduled for Saturday night in the Keys where we were staying. I texted and called 3-5 times throughout the day with ZERO response. Cynthia COMPLETELY GHOSTED ME!!!! We had a sunset cruise booked and then home to our beautiful rental. Impeccably Gourmet RUINED our experience. She never called, texted or emailed to cancel. Friday night I sent a text asking her to please verify if she was coming or not. NO ANSWER! Saturday morning, the day of my booked private dinner, I was left with no other choice but to send a text stating since she was ghosting me, I assumed she cancelled the event. Again, NO ANSWER. We had to make last minute dinner plans at a restaurant for a party of 12 in the Keys on a Saturday night. Soooo difficult and totally devastating. I would not trust this company to follow through. I do not recommend hiring Impeccably Gourmet. This review makes me sad, I would have loved to have written a rave review. Edit: see the most recent text screen shot. We found her to be very responsive to any and all of our questions and very down to earth, with pricing as well. All of her meals were not only delicious, but had generous portions. The meals were also healthy, either "farm to table" or "ocean to table". We're so glad we found Chef Cynthia and highly recommend her.
