Yesterday there was a Buy 1 Get 1 50% off sale, which really came in handy for my mom looking to invest in new work shoes. This location has a pretty large selection, although the prices are very high and, in my opinion, not worth paying without a sale like the BOGO.
During this past visit, the store's computers went down. It was really no problem to wait, and I totally get how stressful a situation like that can be in when you have a line. But maybe 4 employees stood there like sheep while a guy who seemed to be manager did all the work of calling help, troubleshooting, and talking to customers. One of them said, "Our computers went down," to the line without making eye contact with a single person in line or projecting loud enough for the back to hear. It probably could have been a much less chaotic experience to have one of those employees come out from behind the counter to inform the line of the delay or stand outside the door to inform entering patrons that the register is down, and as they loudly discussed, may not be back up by close.
HOWEVER, the maybe-manager deserves major kudos, as he was clearly doing everything he could trying to get the computers back online as soon as possible. I don't think it was his fault at all that the other employees stood there, as he was heavily multitasking as is. Thanks to him, we were able to check out just a few minutes later and he even checked in to see if we had a rewards account to make sure we could receive them since the computers essentially reset. Very appreciative of them! read more
