I have found that it always leads me in a good direction. They've also gotten me hooked me on other products over the years, like Balega socks and Currex insoles. I now wear both of these to work daily. This was the first time I'd visited this Providence Road store, and I was not disappointed. The staff was terrific, and I was personally helped by Natalie, who was excellent. She was knowledgeable about the product, and her suggestions were spot on. I ultimately ended up buying two pairs of shoes (New Balance 880s and Brooks Ghost Max for work and walking and a pair of sunglasses for when I walk. The only unfortunate thing was that I walked out with just the sunglasses and had to order the shoes via their website to get a color I liked. This is the only drawbacks that I have found shopping with them--either I have to settle on color or order the color that I really want. Overall, a very small grievance in the grand scheme of the larger experience. I hope that the stores will stock more colors in the future. One thing I love about Fleet Feet is their rewards program. Anybody who buys good running shoes knows they are not cheap, even if they are worth it. The good thing about Fleet Feet is that they give you rewards certificates for future purchases. So even though I spent a pretty decent amount today, I got about 10% of that back in store reward certificates for future purchases. This is always a great company to shop regardless of location. I walked over to the men's boot section and Yousef, provided plenty of assistance. He explained many nuances about wearing boots, styling, and fit. We were able to try on multiple pairs and I ended up finding a pair I liked. I left feeling confident about wearing boots and I am more than happy with my new pair of Cartwrights. I have been here a couple times before and had some solid experiences. The process started when I went in for a fitting of the suit. As the outfit was predetermined, all I had to do was give the staff my code. From there, they began the process of obtaining my measurements. After getting my measurements, pieces of clothing were brought out in order for me to try them on. Some trial and error, but thankfully we were able to find the perfect matches. Some final measurements for alterations and they sent me on my way. I returned a couple weeks later after the suit was ready to try everything on. The staff was very patient with process by showing me proper methods and also provided honest feedback. Everything fit very well, so I was sent on my way, suit in hand. All in all, I have had pleasant experiences at the location. The staff is usually pretty quick to give you a helping hand when you enter the store. It's actually pretty big as well which makes for easy parking and leaves feelings of claustrophobia at the door. Don't forget Omar who has been there a couple of years. He does a great job on "rehabbing" shoes…read morethat got soaked in severe rain or snow or those with so much polish that the old stuff needs to be removed and rebuilt. He discovered, as many of us have, that the cream polishes do not work well, flaking off and looking bad. Consequently, Omar will not use it, preferring hard paste wax, using Kiwi or, my favorite from an Army career, Lincoln that has lanolin. There is a new young guy who is coming along and he is learning...slowly. But he does OK. Great shines for a great price.
