I enjoy playing billiards here.  It is a respectful, clean, and nice billiards hall. Not like the dungeon shady billiards that exist in San Francisco. The staff are friendly too.  Especially Joe! A few things that would make the place better are lighting the overhead, " Town and Country Billiards sign outside above the entrance, and with the entrance step light.  The working overhead  light sign would attract more patrons. The non-working entrance light can pose a hazard, potentially leading to someone falling on the steps due to poor lighting and visibility. As someone who truly wants to see cue sports grow, I left disappointed with my visit here. The last…read moretime I came was back in the early 2000s, when this place was lively and well-kept. Back then, the wall cues were usable--you only needed to check if one was straight. This time (August 2025), not a single wall cue was in playable condition. Many had cracked ferrules, and the felt on the table shifted under my bridge hand. For $10/hr, I was charged $8.25 for only 20 minutes of table time, which felt unreasonable. What really concerns me is the bigger picture. If a newcomer curious about pool stumbled into this environment, I doubt they'd want to come back. Facilities like this should be introducing people to the fun and quality of cue sports--not turning them away.

I was playing with my homie and before we were gonna break to start a game, he tells me we need to use a cloth underneath the white ball first otherwise we could damage the tables. I've never heard of this. I asked him multiple times why and to example n to me the logic. With this rule you could basically mess up the cloth after every hit. This idiot don't even introduce himself or anything, he just starting talking to us like we were ten year old and he was our dad. Also, he never did this shit with any other table there. There are also no signs anywhere of this rule. He pretty much killed our vibe and we left. We're grown ass men, if we fuck up your table so be it but why the fuck are you coming up to us and where we're half drunk trying to talk to us like you're our dad. Not coming back.

1-Star Review - I Wish I Could Give Zero Stars…read more I wish I could give this place zero stars. We came in on a Sunday, and there was hardly anyone there--no wait and plenty of open lanes. We started by trying to order drinks, but were told there was no bartender. Fine, we moved on. When my fiancée asked if they had socks, the employee simply shook their head. No explanation, no "sorry," nothing. We ended up going to Goodwill to buy a pair just so we could bowl. Once we finally got on our lane, it malfunctioned three different times. After the third issue, I asked for a refund because it was clear we weren't going to have a smooth experience. The only positive thing I can say is that the facility was nice and clean. Unfortunately, clean floors don't make up for poor customer service and equipment that constantly breaks down. If your bowling lanes are having issues, the least you can do is be friendly, apologize, and try to make things right. Needless to say, we won't be coming back.

SERVICE Great, the games were self service and the bar tops were manned so you just head over when you want to get a drink. AMBIANCE It was a very chill and free flowing environment. The place is a vintage theater turned into a barcade, and I love what they did. It's so spacious, has multiple floors, and the high ceilings make the space even more open. They have huge games on the top floor next to the bar which were so much fun! They had movies being projected onto a huge wall visible from every floor. There's music playing but you can still hear well enough to have a conversation. They had classic to new games. Some of them were free. I was unsure of how I'd like it before going but SO GLAD I went. Great for a fun date or just hanging out with your friends. I could also see it being a fun place to have a bday party. I'll be visiting again the next time I'm in San Francisco. Check this place out! Trust me it's worth a visit.
