I have used Racing Green multiple times and they have always exceeded my expectations. This time I used them to remodel a bathroom on our 2nd floor. It was a small space, but owner Dougal came up with some superb ideas and assisted my wife and I thought every step of the process. The project was done to Santa Monica Code specifications (not always easy), but construction manager Rick Lopez actually suggested it (very unusual) and I had complete confidence with the company's ability to complete the project on time and within budget. Dougal was always aware of what his crew was doing and was highly professional throughout. The crew also always followed pandemic restrictions and my wife and I think the outcome was wonderful. Thank you Racing Green! read more

We met Jonathan and Dougal while they were renovating a neighboring home, and brought them and their team on to help us in our new home. Their thoroughness, sense of style, knowledge, and attention to detail far exceeds what one might expect. They have completed a few projects for us in the past couple of years, and we are currently using them again. Part of what makes us return clients to Racing Green is that they finish what they start, and do the job as it should be done. Every one of the people on their team has been a pleasure to work with, and Im sure we will continue to be repeat customers. read more

Do not even consider buying a home via this company. The owner Dougal will absolutely go out of his way to cut costs on a home that costs millions of pounds. Endless issues that are far from resolved two years after moving in. Avoid like the plague. read more

Extremely professional and high quality work. They are not going to be your cheapest option, but if you're looking for a builder / contractor who is reliable, responsive (a big one for me!) , and responsible, I recommend Racing Green highly. They managed my entire home remodel and were very communicative about any issues or delays. They answered my texts and phone calls almost immediately so I never felt out of the loop. Would hire them again in a heartbeat! read more

Racing Green came in and turned everything around. We were stuck and they breathed life into the project and brought us over the finish line to beautiful results. Since then we have used them both as Contractors and Realtors (personally as well as recommending to clients). I could not recommend anyone more or put my trust in anyone more when it comes to life investments as big and personal as this. They changed the game for us. Truly on point stylistically and smart and effective with budgets timelines and overall execution. Really lucky to have found this amazing team. read more

I found racing green when looking for painters for a property I manage but found so much more. They have done an amazing job with a kitchen remodel, refurbishing old wood floors and of course the painting. Jonathan, Franco and Rick who I've worked with the most through out the project have all been above and beyond wonderful and professional. Highly recommend for anyone looking for any type of house work. read more

Contacted Dougal at Racing Green regarding an ADU construction project. He responded promptly and came out to the property the next day to take a look (properly masked and distanced for COVID). He seemed very knowledgeable and also really straightforward, identifying some challenges and areas of concern regarding the project. I really appreciate the honesty and candor instead of just signing us up to get the business. He also provided us a great referral for some additional engineering services we needed. Even though we may not be using them, this is exactly the kind of honest and direct communication that builds trust and confidence, and makes me feel like working with them would be a good choice. read more

Racing Green came to us highly-recommended by our realtor who only works with the best! We needed a lot of work done on our newly purchased home and Dougal and Jonathan gave us a reasonable bid. Their team worked thoroughly, efficiently, and always kept in direct contact with us through the entire process. They were accommodating to some adjustments and we always felt like we could approach them about any thoughts or concerns. They're professional, honest, and just all-around nice guys. We couldn't have asked for an easier experience! We'll be using them for our future roofing needs too. Highly recommend! read more

Racing Green is truly the only company we will ever use to buy or sell a home. We met Dougal & Jon through a friend while looking to sell our house & buy our forever home. They sold our house in 4 days, giving us all the right advise to put us in the best position possible as sellers. That was the easy part. In an insane market we began the year search for our forever home. We saw hundreds of homes with Dougal, he was always available & honest with us. We trusted him & his team implicitly with all the advise they gave us. My husband & I came so close to just giving up with how frustrated we felt with the market but they where always our number one cheerleaders reminding us to be patient. We found the most beautiful home that is more perfect for our family than any house we had seen & could not be happier. Once we purchased the home Rick & team came in to do all the fixes needed & we will never use anyone else. Extremely professional & the work is hand down the best work. Dougal was not only our agent but he became a friend & often time our therapist through this process, a gem! My son still asks when will he see Dougal again, our entire family became big fans of Racing Green & team. read more

Racing Green is the go-to service for all your home renovation projects! Whether it's as small as installing a faucet, or tearing down an enter site and building from the ground up, this company certainly knows how to do it all! I initially contacted them after a frustrating experience with another contracting company, who left my shower doors poorly installed causing leakage and nearly, nearly causing the entire glass shower door to completely fall off the rails which would have been a major, dangerous, and careless accident. Shortly after reaching out, I was contacted by Franco who addressed all my concerns in a timely manner, and showed up the very next day to properly re-install the shower door at a very fair price. I was blown away by the quality of work, the professionalism, and the way they took care of my needs on the first occasion. I have since called them to install heaters on my patio, add new lighting fixtures throughout the house, and to add some lighting to the side of the house which was previously really dark! They have nailed every single job, and always go above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction of the customer. Later this year I plan to remodel my kitchen, and guess who I will call? Racing Green recently completed a renovation/conversion of our garage, turning a half finished space into a lovely media/family room with a new laundry area and 1/2 bath. The job was completed in the time frame given and stuck to the original quote. Dougal and his team do great work, are always on time and have been willing to come back and fix little things, even weeks after the main job was completed. As we look at doing more projects with our home, we will definitely be calling Racing Green! read more

Racing Green recently completed our kitchen and dining room renovation. Our kitchen was demo'd down to the studs and completely reconfigured. We couldn't be happier with their work. Their price was fair and there were never any surprise costs. Communicating with Dougal and his team was always easy and the professionalism of the crew was outstanding. They have a great aesthetic and always respected our opinions and input. We've worked with other contractors in the past and Racing Green put them all to shame. The job was also completed exactly on schedule! Now we're looking around our house to find more projects to have them work on! read more

I had several things to take care of at my condo in West Hollywood. Some things were beyond my knowledge and patience level. My previous handyman turned out to be a really bad choice, since he created some of the problems, so I was tackling projects on my own, but getting frustrated. Walking around my neighborhood, I noticed a small van with "Racing Green" handyman on the side. I noticed how the small van was packed with an amazing amount of tools and equipment. The handyman, who was working on a nearby building, had some items on the ground. He immediately apologized that things were in my way, though the items really weren't in my way, and he quickly moved them. A handyman, who was really polite? I was sold. I later called them and they worked with my picky schedule to arrange for a handyman to come tackle the projects that were frustrating to me. The pricing for their work was made very clear and was reasonable. Rick made quick work of the projects, did a wonderful job, and cleaned up the debris. Rick also gave me some great advice on some of the work that I was doing. Though my projects were few and only took a few hours, I felt very valued as a customer. I have dumped my previous handyman, and Racing Green has replaced him. read more

My husband and I hired Racing Green for a full remodel of a 1950s fixer-upper we bought last year. The house was unlivable when we bought it, and it is now our dream house thanks to Racing Green. We could not be happier with the results! Not only does the house look amazing, Dougal and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the whole process. They care a great deal about the final product and have very high standards for craftsmanship and materials. They were great at problem-solving quirky parts of our old house and figuring out how to make them modern and fresh. If you are in need of a contractor you cannot go wrong with Racing Green. High Voltage installed new light fixtures in my entire house. Seriously. We junked all the old ones and went on a shopping spree. Franco is an amazing electrician and always gets the job done well. Now our house is even more beautiful than we thought possible. They even would come on Saturdays if necessary. Anyhow, High Voltage is the best. Hire them. read more

We have had multiple clients hire Dougal and team for an addition and remodels. His team is very well managed and skilled and because they don't sub most of the work out there is one person guiding the project from start to finish, which is SUPER valuable. His bids are fair and he really tries to limit the change order process when small modifications are made during construction. We are now trying to work with Racing Green on as many projects as possible, and he is out undoubted contractor of choice. read more

So I had a challenging chandelier installation that was approximately 25 feet in the air, and these guys took on the challenge with grace and professionalism that is refreshing to experience as a customer. Oscar arrived the day before to evaluate the project first hand, he was very professional and courteous, and then the following day he and his crew (Franco, Angel, Jon) showed up exactly on time and very professionally went to work. They even installed the chandelier TWICE because they realized the first time that it should be hung a foot lower so they took it back down, reassembled it, and put it back up at a height that looked better for the location. A hard and hot day's work for sure atop scaffolding and the crew was always very polite, courteous, professional and a pleasure to work with. Admittedly, I'm not an easy customer as my expectations are high and they delivered on all fronts. I will work with them again for sure! read more
