We tried the cole slaw, the sesame noodles, the sesame green beans, the spicy and sweet thai cucumbers, the turkey salad with walnuts and cranberries, the mini meatballs, the curry chicken salad, and the Mediterranean couscous. I know that sounds like a huge of food, but I only took a small portion of each, about 3-4 bites of each item..so it only came to about $12 by weight. The meatballs and the couscous were disappointing...both lacked flavor and were a bit dry. Everything else was excellent... very flavorful, fresh, and a nice selection of options to choose from. The market and bakery have a great selection of gourmet items including a wide variety of chips, many jarred items (sauces, jelly, spreads), a nice selection of pre-packages charcuterie, and an entire cheese room (think temperature and humidity controlled). They have a nice selection of cheeses to choose from. The bakery is full of amazing looking beautiful desserts which didn't try. There are a few tables inside the coffee shop area of the market if you want to eat there. We took our lunch to go and headed to the park in the center of town where there are picnic tables with umbrellas. We sat outside at a picnic table in a beautiful (and surprisingly clean) park and had a fantastic lunch!

They use REAL eggs, and even toast the hard rolls. Those sandwiches hit the spot, very tasty. They also sell King Brothers Dairy products, their chocolate milk is the BEST on the planet ! Harris Grocery is a solid 4 Star rating, IMO.

It's basically a small convenience store that sells lots of camp supplies too as it is literally opposite the entrance to Lake Vanare campground. Can't miss this place as it's right there on 9N. Great owners offering just what the area needs. Open year round and it will be doing an even brisker business once the hiking trail at Potash Mountain goes viral come spring 2018.

The quiche was decent tasting but vey flat and tasted that it was heated by microwave. Just wast turned off overall, especially by the water thing. Won't go back, plenty of other places for breakfast.

Very spacious inside and, while they do rely a tad too much on the flavored/infused oils for my taste, they do have an excellent selection of quality olive oils. We bought an excellent Chilean Favasola olive oil and a nice, spicy Sicilian Ogliarola, as well as a pomegranate balsamic vinegar. They are quite generous with the free sampling, so you can sample to your hearts content to find the right oil/vinegar pair for you (the bread for dipping was noticeably stale, though) They also recycle bottles and have a discount plan for every 10 bottles you return. There's a small ice cream shop up front which is a bit random but, hey--it's ice cream. It's a nice place, though do think i prefer the service and atmosphere--not to mention the ancillary products such as pastas with recipe pairings/recommendations--at the Saratoga olive oil shop. I asked--they are not associated, but they have the same supplier, so product is substantively the same, if not the shipping experience. But if you have an idea what you want, the quality is there.

Fish bait in a cooler and an aisle of propane for your small grill in one corner and a deli corner in another, this great store has it all. Firewood by the bag is available outside stacked up daily. Open most mornings at 8 am, grab a good cup of jo and whatever else you might need.

I got a 12" Italian sub (swapped out turkey for pepperoni) with a side of vinegar and oil, and it was very good and fresh. Well located and a great pit stop for picking up supplies before you head out for your Adirondacks adventures. Open from 8am-7pm daily.

Probably was a gas station way back when but now it's a bakery and a popular spot for a morning or lunchtime nosh. The dining area was abuzz with conversation when I last visited and I even had the pleasure of talking with one of the owner's mother who is also an FSU grad. Another of those "it's a small world" moments that I have encountered in my many years on this earth. Through the door you have the counter where you order. Most of what is available will be displayed there. To your right will be the large dining area with tables and other seating options. Everything I have tried has been delicious. I ordered two hand pies, one being a cottage pie, the other a chana masala mix. They were small. Like really small. That being said the pastry had good flavor as did the contents. But for the price I was very disappointed So overall, I'd say the hand pies were good but definitely too rich for my budget.
