His braces have broken multiple times (six to seven, by my count), with brackets falling off just days after being installed on multiple occasions. Dr. Franz has twice blamed my son's eating habits, but I monitor his diet closely. I even watched a bracket pop off while he was eating a french fry. My son has an extreme overbite and it seems the case may be outside her area of expertise. Alyssa and Megan at the front desk have been extremely rude and have accused me of lying. When I asked Alyssa if I could speak with the doctor at her convenience, she lied and told me the doctor would not be in for the next three days. Later in the same conversation, she admitted the doctor was actually in the office. I've never experienced such poor treatment from a service I'm paying for. In fact, I've never been treated so poorly by any organization, period.

I just needed a small touch up from one that was a bit too low. He Guaranteed me that he could fix my bite. $3000 for a $150 bite guard that I was to wear for far too long to "get my jaw right". It was never not right, just a tooth a little too low. After that, instead of raising the one lower tooth, he took a dremel and ground my others down, making them sharp as razors so they constantly cut my tongue, and after too many visits to get it "right"--or even close to that, I gave up and cut my losses. I've filed them down myself with a nail file to prevent a ravaged tongue. And that was an additional $3000--$6000 up front for the whole deal--cash out of pocket. That was a couple grand more than the original 5 crowns to begin with. Not one day has gone by that I am not in pain and it has been years. I've been to 4 other dentists and none of them want to touch the problem now. I can no longer chew like one should, so many foods are taboo and most aren't chewed well, creating more problems. No grinding, like for salad. I can't even put my teeth together unless there is food to fill in the rough terrain. Like gravel on gravel. My only real mistake--going there in the first place. Nice guy--certainly. Occlusal specialist--not even close. I've few regrets in life--but this tops the list. I could drone on, but I needed to put this to rest here.

Cheryl, the administrator has been most pleasant and helpful re insurance details, and getting info from my prior dentist. Sitting in the dental chair attended by Dr. Morehead and his assistant Sandra, I knew I had made a good choice. Dr. Morehead explained things as he did his exam, and gave me choices when appropriate. Quite professional, but also easy to talk with. Sandra likewise, professional, and easy to listen when my mouth was full : ) She and Dr. Morehead left me with a sparkling mouth, and ready to schedule my 6 month follow-up.

There has always been staff turnover but the newbies have seemed to step in with a professional and friendly attitude. Dr Ngo used to be so friendly and engaging but over the last year, I have noticed a change in her approach to my daughters. Our last visit in February was when it felt most obvious that things were different with her. Her friendliness and compassionate approach were missing. I found her to be abrupt and rude. Two weeks ago, my youngest daughter developed a painful sore at her gum line and I was worried it was an abscess or something serious. For the first time ever, outside our scheduled every 6 month checkups, I called the office concerned. I spoke with THREE different people and clearly, none of them had a clue about what they were talking about. They could not get me in for 3 days so I asked to text the pictures to Dr Ngo so that she could assess if this was an emergency or not. The staff told me there is NO cell phone options ( shocking in today's world) and the only option was to email the photos and they would get back with me. I asked to speak with Dr Ngo and they refused and transferred me to yet another unknowledgeable person. At that point, I emailed the pictures and NEVER heard back from them. After day 3 of not hearing back, I called to cancel our appointment because we had went to Urgent Care, The receptionist asked " How is he"? The patient that has been going there for 8 years is a female. Clearly, no investment in knowing their patients or even looking at their screen for a name or gender. After considering the disappointment of our care over the last few months and the unfriendliness of the dentist, I feel we are just a number, not a valued patient. We are moving on to a new pediatric dentist and office.

She has incredible bedside manner with her youngest patient. She talked about all aspects of Dental hygiene, examined their teeth, addressed our questions about fluoride, and showed us the best way to brush their teeth. The examine for each was preformed with them setting in my lap to make them less nervous and easier to control. They did everything they could to make this experience as non-threatening as possible for some of their youngest patience. The office staff was friendly and efficient and the paper work was sent to us via mail beforehand to minimize time spent in the waiting room.
