I have had really great experiences each time my children went in for a dental visit to Foothills Pediatric group, specifically with Dr. Christensen. Growing up I had a lot of bad dental work done and was very concerned about my children not suffering the same long term affects that I have had as a result of that bad dentistry. I went to a general dentist as a child, so it was important to me that my children see a dentist who had the extra years of schooling to specialize in the dental techniques recommended for the beginning years of my children's teeth care. I also believe in helping my children to feel confident, self sufficient, and to be proactive about their teeth care without my nagging; therefore, I loved the policy that I was to attend the initial visit but subsequent visits my children will go back without me. Of course, I realize that my children do not have the maturity to make long term dental decisions, and that is why I rest comfortably in the fact that Dr. Christensen will include me in any decisions needing to be made such as filling a cavity. The office is bright, cheerful, and kid friendly. The system they have set up allows my child to feel like a "big" girl and boy in going in to see the dentist by themselves without me hovering, and the staff is specifically trained to work with adolescents. Both my kids have gone to Dr. Christensen. One of them is 18 but still prefers to go to Dr. Christensen and they don't treat her like a little kid either. It's such a calming and relaxing environment and that helps since kids get so stressed out doing to the dentist. Because the way they treat their patients - my kids have never put up a fight to go to the dentist. My daughter was upset and nervous when she had to get teeth pulled but Dr. Christensen talked with her first and totally calmed her down and she went through with it. His calming and quiet and positive demeanor calmed her down. I recommend this practice to all my clients moving to town because I know they are the best and will get the best treatment and care. I love too that Dr.Christensen meets with the parents after EVERY appt and gives you all the time you need to ask quesitons, etc. read more

My children have been going to Foothills Pediatric Dentistry in Longmont for many years. When we originally took them to the practice they were terrified of going to the dentist. But the open, kid friendly office where they can see other kids getting their teeth cleaned truly helped them overcome their fears. Now they even ask to go to the dentist! Great service, everyone is so friendly. My daughter (4 years old) is usually afraid to go back with the dentist by herself but they managed to make it fun for her to the point where she is happy going back there every time alone, just her like a big girl!! FPD is great! They are always on top of things and great communicators. They work on scheduling my 3 boys together so we don't have to make multiple trips. They also work around the school hours which helps so much so my 3 don't have to miss school. The dentist is great and thank God my boys have great teeth. read more

The Longmont location is where I have been taking my kids since their very first visit. I loved that they offer free visits for kiddos under 3, and they handle my toddlers so well when it comes to normalizing tools and reducing fear.
