This is by far some of the worse customer service! It seems like everybody in other departments are…read moreso nice but when you reach the deli their attitudes put a bad wrap on the store as a whole. My husband and I have been in multiple times politely asking for a sandwhich and every time the deli workers always act like it's our problem for wanting a sandwich. They always move so slow like they don't care about others time as the are cutting up with eachother and doing other tasks that should not take place over the customer there in front of them. Leon was my first bad experience and not my last with him. His attitude is always terrible and there was once when a worker came up to him and handed him cash that was stated to have been found on the ground. He then (still gloved up) took the cash put it in his pocket and carried on making our sandwiches (with the same gloves, that's disgusting). Then today we go to grab a sandwich after church and the girl Genesis there was just ugly. Did not really greet us well, just gave blank stares waiting for us to tell her what we wanted instead of asking, and not a single smile. We then told the manager our experience and she had little to no remorse towards the situation and gave us a very non enthusiastic "I'm sorry for your experience" with no option to make the situation right, never insured us that the person would be dealt with, and it was really a bigger waste of our time that had already been spent. I've never had a good experience at any Publix deli. It's really just sad these people's attitudes. I would expect a little better from Publix considering they're all about being the "greatest place to shop". Something really should be done about these people but no one seems to care to fix it. I know this is not their first complaint.

Brand new Publix that just opened this year. It's a great location at the corner of Vaughn Rd and…read morePike Road. It's a new layout compared to the other Publix's in the area: the bakery is in the back corner and there's a whole aisle for cards and magazines. The produce section is very nice and they have a special section for Alabama grown produce. I also like how they have the cold items in cases with doors instead of in the traditional open air cold storage. The feel and look of this Publix is completely different than other locations in the area. Starting with the color scheme..it's "Publix green", gray and black and has a slightly industrial feel. There's also a 2nd floor that opens into a roof top dining area where you can eat lunch. The staff seems helpful and friendly and they offer Instacart grocery service. I look forward to shopping here more.

For a random little mini mart that's attached to a gas station (76) it doesn't get much better than…read morethis. Right out of the gate let's make one thing very clear...you've heard of a dive when referencing a bar or restaurant, well this is the convenience store equivalent of that. More stuff than what you'll find at a normal convenience store, but nothing like what you'll find at like a Walmart or places like that. They do have some staples, I'm guessing because they are in the middle of nowhere and then a few miles beyond ... so they make it so the folks that are in the area don't have to drive forever (plus a little more) to get to a n actual grocery store. Now, where they excel is in oddities. The one that stood out to me - Peach Mango Angry Orchard .... until seeing it here, didn't even know it existed. Just one example of the different stuff you'll find here. Oh, did I say they also have a full service food area - kind of like a publix - fried chicken and all the fixin's. If you're in the area stop off and check these guys our, well worth the visit.

This gas station and convenience store is situated along a somewhat barren (of similar stores)…read morestretch of highway. I had been on the road for a couple of hours on my way to a rental cabin at Lake Martin and popped in for some road snacks and a Coke Zero. What I found was a surprisingly great selection of beer and wine, snacks, and a very nice employee...and a helpfully talkative customer. I grabbed a couple of six packs, a couple of bottles of wine, some beef sticks and tater chips, then loaded up and hit the road. If you are in the area and need provisions, I think that you'll either find what you need here or find a suitable substitute. Huge parking lot and a metric butt-load of gas pumps.

Women Beware As I…read morewas leaving the self checkout center , the employee over this area, Ronald Holmes, stopped me and said "ma'am can I ask you a question?" I responded "yeah sure" He then asked me , "What is that that you have around your arms?" and pointed to the article of clothing he was referring to I responded and said "It's a Shawl" He then responded and said " Why are you wearing it?" At this point, I was kind of taken a back as to why he was asking this question and where this question was leading so I responded "Because I want to, & because it keeps my arms warm..." He then responded " You're not wearing anything else" I was stunned by his response, and I was hoping that I had heard him incorrectly . So I asked again for him to clarify what he said , and he then repeated, " I mean why you're not wearing anything else..." At this point, I felt both disrespected and sexually harassed , and so I responded to him " You don't think that's something inappropriate to say to a customer?" He then doubled down on his earlier remark and I said " I mean, I'm just being honest" And I again said "You don't think that that's something inappropriate to say to a female customer ? Was that not an unnecessary comment?? What reason did you have to say that to me? " And then he sort of, threw up a hand and said " OK maam I'm sorry." I responded "yea..." and proceeded to exit the store. Holmes' comment was rude disrespectful, and obviously had a sexual undertone. I found this behavior, completely unacceptable, and unsafe. It makes me question how often he stops customers before leaving to make a comment on their physical appearance or clothing ? Has he made similar condescending comments to other female shoppers? To STOP a customer in order to sexually harass them is beyond inappropriate and unprofessional. Honestly, this employee needs to be removed from customer service due to his inappropriate behavior.

Quiet place to sleep overnight. Clean bathrooms, and very cool 80's piped in music. Game room with video games, and a pool table. Great coffee too!
