Here we could have a common table and actually hear conversation from one end of the table to another. We started with the charcuterie board and fried okra both of which were excellent with generous portions. The mains we had were salmon, shrimp pasta, chicken piccata, and short ribs. All were great with generous portions again. My wife had crab claws and while well prepared they were a bit small and thin. Service was prompt and appropriate. I recommend this restaurant and will hope to return.

Rather thin and rubbery. I requested it with Grilled onions and mushrooms I got a mound of Mush gravy spread over the steak (spread because it was a failed attempt at a Gravy). With raw onions in it. The menus were faintly printed in small script font the seating arrangement is a bit overcrowded as well. We had to move our TABLE for a gentleman in another party to sit at his table. We felt intruded throughout the remainder of our dinner. Their conversation was literally ours. 243 South definitely has the vision of the assignment to bring the next level dining experience to a small town. I encourage them to keep trying perhaps pay more attention to the customer comforts rather than the Bougie dispositions. and get your cooks lessons. C+
