This area is heavy with automobile traffic when the sun is above the western horizon and it is just a typical gas station. However, before the sun rises and after it settles, it gets creepy. You might actually ponder if the long-rumored Zombie Apocalypse has arrived if you pop in during the darkness. There is a homeless encampment nearby, and while I've never been bothered by its denizens, I've seen them lurking along the periphery of the sodium-lighted penumbra of civilization. I keep a Ziplock(c) bag of brains to toss aside and distract them, just in case I need to beat a hasty retreat. Trick's on them, because the brains are really just lo mein noodles doused with Frank's RedHot sauce. I put that sh*t on everything.
Gas prices used to be lower than everywhere in a reasonable distance, but now the prices are typical. But I sometimes need gas while leaving work at night. So well-lighted equals better. Mostly. read more
