I didn't make any adjustments to the drink and the sweetness level was just right for me. Funnily, I walked right past the place because I couldn't find any obvious signage outside. It's a small cafe with a little counter and window seating, seems to be mostly a grab-and-go spot. The menu has a great variety beyond the standard coffee options. Several speciality drinks caught my eye like the Ferrero Rocher latte which I'll definitely try next time. The service was super chill and friendly and I'll definitely be swinging by again. Parking tip: Grand Ave is generally rough when it comes to parking. Save yourself some time and head straight to Miller Ave parking garage. I've hardly had any trouble finding a spot there and it's just a short walk from Dead Eye.

I lucked out with a parking spot right across the street, but walked past it as there's no sign with a name. You have to look for a little weird symbol and then go into a building and turn left, then go into another door. The shop itself is very small, more floorspace is dedicated to the kitchen than the waiting area. They have exactly 3 oddly short stools to sit on, so if it's at all busy don't plan on staying. I got there 15 minutes before closing on a Sunday, so unsurprisingly all the seats were vacant. The drink itself was good, vibrantly purple and not too sweet. I think it was a little light on espresso, though, next time I'd ask for a double (and yes I did specify the espresso-version, apparently the normal ube latte is caffeine-free). The reason I went to Dead Eye is because I wanted some good tasting caffeine that wasn't from a chain and want bubble tea, so in that regards it delivered. They take credit cards.

I like that it's frequented by older locals. You can come here and just sit by yourself or come with a couple people and just catch up and it's fine, it's flexible. Food is solid. I like their pozole the best. I recently had their pork panini and thought it was solid. Wish it was a bit bigger but it was good on pork.

I've been exploring all the breakfast burritos in SanFran but this place is now also at the top of my list! I ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage and was happy with all the fillings - chunky potatoes, good amount of egg, onions, tomato, and chunky pieces of sausage in a spinach tortilla. (Instead of protein, my friend added avocado instead. And you can choose different types of tortillas - flour, whole wheat, spinach, and others) Just overall good and very filling. Not huge but not small either. The only thing I missed was salsa to put on it. Tapatio packets were given instead. (To be fair, these are Latin American-inspired breakfast burritos not "Mexican" burritos with salsa on the side.) Great breakfast burrito! Looks like there are other dishes to try. Lots of people were also there on Sat morning and enjoying their breakfast. Plenty of tables. We'll be back!

After studying the menu, I decided to get a drink before heading to my next errand. After a quick study of the wall menu (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=120&select=d9XQ1LkFfn2HWyBcxtXTAA), I tried the Hawaiian Breeze, 20 oz (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=WkjSW3h65CHTtq3ltacGOw), passion fruit, mango, and guava. As he put the drink together from scratch, I read the snacks menu (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=120&select=d9XQ1LkFfn2HWyBcxtXTAA) and other drink items. A few minutes later, my drink was ready so I started sipping it as I walked to my car. It was nice and icy cold. It was tasty and not overly sweet but the mango flavor dominated the other two fruits that really didn't come out as I finished it. Being a guava person, I would have liked that to be more prominent here. A young gal came in to help behind the counter and the gentleman made my drink as more customers came in. I will study the menu more thoroughly on my next visit and likely try something more guava forward.
