THOUGHT I left/lost my wallet in the store so I raced back there and spoke with the clerk, a large round man wearing a wrinkled blue RaceTrac polo shirt with NO NAME TAG. He could give a shit. I explained that it wasn't about the money but my police ID, badge, and license to carry firearms, along with 2 credit cards and one debit card were in the wallet. I asked if he or a manager could view the surveillance video, but he laughed in my face and said, "Welcome to today's society." This miscreant had no compassion, concern, or empathy. I told him that my credit card company told me to contact the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office and file a report. He told me "Good Luck" and that he'd be telling the "Cop" hi and bye because hes under no obligation to cooperate with the police and only had me write my cell number on a piece of scrap paper. My son and I later backtracked and found my wallet on Highway 776. I'm guessing I put it on the roof of the car while I put my bag in the vehicle or simply dropoed it but I'm not 100% sure, I'm just glad I found it. This was definitely MY FAULT. However, I can't believe and should have never been treated by a RaceTrac employee like that. Big Bubba's heart attack or stroke is coming soon, and that's gonna be all the Karma I need. I visit this particular RaceTrac 3 to 5 days a week but will never return. Avoid this place like Covid 19. read more
