(People drive fast out of this place so please be extra careful.) I use to come out this way quite often for work but that was before they remodeled the stores and turned it into a mini-restaurant. You almost forget that you're in a gas station with all of the different snacks and high quality convenience foods that they offer. It use to be gas station coffee was one step above motor oil. Not anymore. Today's gas station coffee now rival all of the gourmet coffee places that you can think of-in fact many of the suppliers that sell to these high-end gourmet coffee places are the same suppliers where QT buys their coffee supplies from. The best part is that QT sells their coffee at a fraction of what those gourmet places sell them for.... What sets this QT apart from the rest of the other great QT locations? The employees. They really stay on top on things. The place obviously has seen better days. When I was there I was actually a little afraid to use the credit card reader because I wasn't sure if it would register or screw it up. So I went inside instead and prepaid for my gas. The inside of the store is a bit older but actually quite clean and orderly. The floors looked they were recently mopped. The coolers looked clean and fairly new. My cashier was very nice and I was able to purchase some gas without a hitch. My spouse spotted the Krispy Krunchy sign while we were waiting at the traffic light. I suggested we stop and I would buy some for our lunch. Inside the store the signage was very limited and virtually no prices were posted for the chicken being sold. I asked if I could buy just chicken by the piece and the clerk said yes. So, I ordered 2 legs and 2 breasts. I was charged a whopping $15.16 plus tax. Ouch! I did not complain in the store but thought to myself the price seemed high for that I was getting. I asked for a receipt. The chicken was sold as 15.16 ounces at $1 per ounce, or $3.79 per piece. I did not see the clerk weigh the product and I do not think there was almost 1 pound of chicken sold. The Krispy Krunchy Chicken web site advertises 2 piece dark or tenders + wedges for $4 from 10AM-2PM M-F. I was there between 10AM-2PM on a Monday. I feel like I was ripped off in a big way. I will chalk this up as a lesson learned for the future. If the clerk was smart they would have recommended a better value to me. Then they would have a repeat customer. After this experience, there is no way I will buy a meal there again. Fool me once - shame on you. Fool me twice - shame on me. BTW - The chicken was delicious. Just paid waaaaay toooooooo much for it.

The area itself can make people nervous because of the amount of people on foot walking around the place. But have no worries. It's actually a pretty safe place to fill up. QT for the most part is always busy and at night is lit up like a sport stadium....so have no worries. I've been here off and on for work at least 3 times and have never have any problems. Whether its just to stop to use the loo before I head on to the traffic on I-75 or grabbing a drink or something to snack on before dinner.
