That doesn't bother me so much (it does make it a bit more expensive though) they don't really have a real bakery section at this location, you have to go to the pizza window (which is also the bakery but there's no signage to that effect so you would have to ask someone if you don't know-that what I did) The cake decorator was not there but they took my information and a few days later I got an email. She said she called a few times but I never had a missed call or voicemail. When I tried to call her she could not be located and she stopped responding to emails...so that was not great or particularly easy to handle. I had to follow up a few times and I did get a little nervous it wasn't going to work out but iI finally got the cake decorator on the phone and we went over everything (I do recommend having a call/in person consultation and bringing in some visuals for inspo!!) They were able to do it and it was EXACTLY what I wanted. Basically identical to my inspo images (I included both in my photos) . and for only $26. I was floored. I was shocked. I was thrilled! It also tasted so good. Like more substantial than your typical grocery store cake. moist but not too light or spongy. Heavy not heavy to eat. The buttercream also actually tasted like butter cream not marshmallow. I can't wait to get another for my next celebration.

The bathroom was clean and smelled good for a rest stop bathroom. When I went back outside, although my pump was not pumping, there was a leak coming down from the connection that holds the hose to the actual pump. When I noticed this, I thought it was dangerous and important enough to walk back inside and let someone know. The ladies inside were great but sounded like they had heard this before. They said they would put a maintenance ticket in. They apologized and thanked me for coming forward. My issue is that if it is leaking when you are pumping, the pump is not accurate. I did not receive what I was paying for because of the leak.

The meat tasted spoiled, there was an overly excessive amount of oil used on the sub which saturated 3 layers of paper, the bag and the bread, just a mess! This was an online order so I did not see the sub until I arrived home and thank goodness for me that I placed the sub bag inside of a plastic bag or otherwise there would have been oil all in my car that is how heavily saturated the sandwich was, although I requested light oil. Never again will I ever order from here in the future.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn across the street and checked in Thursday evening. Got up Friday with a bunch of running to do including the Grandkids meeting Santa at Town Centre Mall, new shoes at Coggins in Marietta, lunch and finally back to the hotel for a nap. Some additional running to start out with a run to Kohl's on Cobb to pick up a new set of underwear for me since my wife missed them in packing. her standing joke is that I always forget something. Gas gauge showed about a quarter of a tank so decided to just go across the street to Chevron. With the median dividers and no u-turns, it took a bit of navigation to get there. Gas was $3.39.9 which seemed at bit high because the day before when I filled up in Denver, I paid $2.89.9 but local markets vary in part driven by State Taxes. Accepted it because of one of the hazards of travel and what else could you do. Drove over to Kohl's on Cobb Parkway which was about 5 miles away and the price at all of the gas stations including Chevon was $3.19.9 or 2O cents less expensive. Later when we got over to Town Centre Mall for the photo's with Santa, there was a Quik Trip with gas at $3.04.9, Something is not right. This Chevron is in the middle of KSU and granted between two interstates, is making it more difficult for College/University Students who in many cases, the extra 30 cents a gallon could impact an already tight budget. I remember back in antiquity when I was a College Student when every penny counted.

I also plan to call the corporate office to compliment Tracey, who is the Catering Consultant at Publix at Paces Ferry Center. I was attending a group event and asked to bring a desert. From the minute I called until I picked up my fall decorated cookie cake, I knew I was in good hands with Tracey. She was on it! She was super helpful, answered all my questions, and called me by name. I went the next day to personally pick up the cookie cake, and there she was! She was so nice, I chatted with her forever. And, the cookie cake was such a hit with the gals at my event! It was only $22.00 and fed a large crowd. Yay! Five Paws Up review for Tracey and Publix Catering. This store is my favorite as well. If it wasn't so close by, I would not have stopped here, but unfortunately, I needed milk! This is coming from a previous Kroger front end supervisor, lol. I'm a regular so I will say some of them I recognize do a good job, but wow on multiple occasions in the evening they'll start making their announcements etc. probably around 10:30. I usually don't have that much so I'm quick and easy in-and-out. I'll walk up to self checkout at like 10:45 and then there's a huge line because the genius self checkout worker already started closing down the lanes. Definitely not protocol whatsoever. I'm gonna be completely honest when I say if I was supervising that night I would've given them an earful, lol. Isn't the goal to get the people out? Now that my rant about particular self check out workers is over, I'm very happy that this updated store finally opened. Sooooo much of an improvement compared to the old, tiny one on Delk and Powers Ferry. The speed bumps are a little annoying but other than that parking is great. Huge spots, lots of cart corrals. Gas station is awesome and regularly has a competitive price. The selection here at this store is great. I will also say I think I've seen a general improvement in the front end some recently, I think they might have a newer front end manager or something. Whoever you are, keep up the good work.
