There is a freezer full of frozen food options with a microwave and plastic utensils. A fridge full of drinks. A Keurig coffee maker. Lots of typical convenience store items, e.g., pain relief and hygiene items, greeting cards. The store also offers laundry and dry cleaning with next day service. There is a shoe shining station, though I've never seen anyone using it. Cash only for purchases under $5 (or something low like that). Tried walking around the corner to this place after dark. Tried going down Mills street. I realized as soon as I turned the corner that I wasn't even going to make it to the store with my wallet and intestines intact. I tried going around the long way on the busier streets and actually made it within view of the front door. The two young gentlemen loitering at the front made it clear that 11.39 was the best deal I was gonna get for water and soda tonight. I returned to the hotel and happily paid it. I was glad to end the night with the same number of holes in my body that I started with. Saving a couple bucks isn't worth getting mugged or shot.
