This review is not for the gas pumps but for the store. The…read moreplace is always busy and they do not have enough registers or employees. I kid you not, my husband went in for some beer. I walked over to Subway. Now, ordering at Subway is not super quick, especially when ordering several sandwiches. That being said, I had dinner in my hand and still had to go into the store and get the car keys since my hubby was STILL waiting in line! Ridiculous!

Gas seemed a bit higher priced, but Shell usually is, and with t his location, there's not much competition. I bet it's still better than rental car gas prices, when you don't bring the car back on full. Anyway, in addition to coffee and tea, they have endless snack options, and roller food too. Yum. Bottom line: You can save on liquids here.

I also knew their gas price is higher that those within two miles radios but when I was pressed with time and I only needed to put about a gallon of gas, this place was just perfect for me. Receipt printed out at the pump, I was in and out in no time. If I had time, I would drive further to get better price but for those in a hurry to return rental cars, this place will serve just fine.

I told the cashier I wanted the balance after paying for the drinks in Texas Two Step tickets but she printed the entire $14 in tickets and told me I had to pay the difference. I guess the manager that looked older than dirt then came over and told me he couldn't sell me the drinks and refused to give me my tickets for the $14 in lottery they printed so the thieves stole from me this amount...I guess Corporate has instructed their employees to use "reverse" shrinkage methods to make up the difference. I won't ever give Racetrack a penny again. First time in my life I've had a business straight out steal from me.

But anyways back to the story I want to share about these 2 individuals, im from Louisiana and I work in customer service and how to interact with guest or customers (people in general) and from the way they have been with me from helping me with a complaint against an employee who made me feel a certain type of way and never gave any bad vibes to him anytime I came into the store but these 2 really showed me their are people out here that is very decent and understand what customer service is. So not only can you get gas here, but you can buy all that crummy 7-Eleven food and drinks you are addicted to so much! Actually, I really like their cappuchino machine thing. I don't know what you call it - it's like foamy coffee. But it's addictive. - Anyhow, this place is brand new and it's nice to get a gas station with modern equipment that I can actually read instead of having to squint in the sun to read that tiny dial saying "zip code?" or what-have-you. - Thumbs up!
