I like to come here because what you can rely on is a well-lit station that has clean pump handles and a good selection in their convenience store. You can also rely on very good customer service. They also have a pretty good selection of beer if that is your thing. Their selection of line is somewhat Limited but I think that is to be expected for any convenience store gas station. My only complaint about this particular gas station is that it does not have a car wash.

I don't know what you call it - it's like foamy coffee. The good: Open late, although after dark you have to use the warzone-style bank drawer system to interact. Hard to believe that live oak and Carroll is still that dangerous. Awesome for the staff, but it puts you out on foot with some of east Dallas' more sketchy inhabitants. Car wash usually works, although there's usually something broken too (vacuum, air for tires, etc). Tetco has stopped pushing it's loyalty program on you while you get gas. The bad: A crime seems to be right on the verge of occurring at all times. Parking lot is an accident factory. Employees do not warn you that Shaq soda is terrible.

Their prices are competitive and I like the fact that all their pumps tend to be in working order. Occasionally, my receipt does not print at the pump but that I am able to get one inside without much of a wait. Inside, they have the typical gas station/convenience store items available. They do a bit better when it comes to items like sandwiches, pastries, etc. as I am sure they source most of it from the Tom Thumb grocery store directly across the street. Another nice thing is unlike many other places nearby, there are never any 'undesirables' hanging around the entrance (or the gas pumps) which is a big plus. Access to this station is fairly easy as it's rare for traffic to backup in the area. Lastly, while I have never used it, they do have an air compressor available to take care of any low-tire-pressure needs.

She then had a cashier page someone to come to the desk...the young lady that came sat her purse and her drink down...looked at me and proceed to walk away from the desk and do other things. she ended up on the opposite side of the store and just left me standing at the service desk. I understand it she had a task to complete but she didn't even acknowledge that I was standing there...no "I'll be with you in a second" NOTHING! I finally just left frustrated and in disbelief.

You start looking around for alternatives. When looking around for the alternatives I found a Chevron station at the corner of Midway and LBJ. This by no means is a new Chevron it's been here for years I have just always tuned it out because I usually purchased my gas at Sam's. So I crossed the road to the southeast corner of the highway and Midway to get my gasoline. Throw this station is a little old it is really not that bad. It's pretty well maintained. I do wonder how they keep in business with their prices being so much higher then Sam's right across the street from them. I guess they are relying on the people that do not have memberships to Sam's.
