This poboy was excellent, the store was clean, and the staff was friendly. They have real New Orleans poboy bread, so kudos and kisses for that. I get my poboys dressed with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and sometimes pickles (when I'm feeling picky). Yes, I made up the word prickly because sometimes I have a taste for pickles and sometimes I don't. Anyway, try this location and you won't be disappointed. Just look at my pictures! But seriously, spicy fried chicken and western style fries any time of the friggin day or night. The chicken is actually pretty damn good. I believe Seth Rogen said one of his favorites of New Orleans was Brother's chicken. No joke. I live within spitting distance of this place and come here often not just to gas up but to get a 3 piece chicken tender with fries for ~$6 or a 3 piece mix with fries for about the same price. If you go in here almost any time of day or night, there's a small line. On Sundays after church let's out you'll see people walking out of there with 25 piece boxes. And it's non-stop. They also have kabob's, meat pies and other good stuff. If they're out of something, they'll make it up fresh for you. Plus it's a fully stocked mini-mart and liquor store. You can get your fill on junk food, beer, liquor, smokes and everything bad for you all in one small place. The family that owns this place is from El Salvador so they stock a lot of chips and snacks from their native country. I buy all of it as I love to try new things. They have a cooler with Mexican cokes right next to the case of Mad Dog 2020's. They have soda for 99 cents any size, icee's, and a walk in cooler for beer. Not being from here, a colleague explained to me that the local gas station almost everywhere in Louisiana always has good food. It's a place where people would go to congregate and get the local gossip and news, before the internet and even mobile phones, it makes sense. Even after the advent of modern conveniences of you reading this review on your phone in the car, going to a gas station to get food is what we do here. Other places may be not so, but here, some of the best food are in the least likely of places like a gas station, read some of my other reviews of other gas stations of similar faire. So if you're in the area and you want some good fried chicken and you can't get into the tiny parking lot at Blue Store, and you're tried of Popeye's, or it's late at night and you don't want to go to Louies or Waffle House, you've just gotten out of the bar and you've got the munchies come here, you won't be let down.

The only gas station in Baton Rouge that you can buy the highest rated Ethanol free gas, Octane 92…read more The guy that runs this place knows his Ethanol free gas, he knows the engines that run on it. I come here to get gas my for 1965 Mercedes Unimog and my 2000 Mercedes S430 and both run on this 92 Octane like a champ. The gas here is more expensive but worth it. A lot of RaceTrac stations sell 87 Ethanol Free unleaded, but if you have an older car or truck that runs better on higher octane Ethanol free this is one of only a select few stations in town that supplies it. The minimart has a nice selection of snacks and candy as well.

Ahhh Baton Rouge, you know your city/town has made it when a Costco is located there…read more I always stop here whenever staying or passing through Baton Rouge due to the gas. But while staying here, I do stop in to mosey around and see what products/items this location offers that's unique to other locations. The difference is they have some LSU memorabilia and a few Louisiana condiments and beverages you can't find elsewhere. As always, there's all the grocery aisles which consist of the bulk items from the deli and bakery. And of course, those hot items such as the rotisserie chicken and rack of ribs. Cold items including the wraps, cocktail shrimp, salads, and the ready-to-eat meals adorn this place too. I'll sometimes grab one of the meals and let it last for days whenever I'm on travel and staying in one of the hotels around. Since this Costco has been open for several years, it's evident there's some wear and tear around the warehouse. The parking lot can be a bit dirty as well so check your surroundings when here.

**This review is just for the Tire Center**…read more Costco has great prices on tires but buyer beware, because that low price isn't always what it seems. I have 3 specific instances that forced me to find another tire company to use. 1. The first is, I ran over a nail, and when I went in to get the tire plugged after shopping and waiting for over an hour, they told me they couldn't fix the tire and it cost me about $200 out of pocket for a replacement. What's the warranty for if I'm paying that kind of money for another tire? 2. I went in to get a tire checked for a slow leak and after spending another hour and a half wandering around the store, the tech tells me there's nothing wrong with it! I told him to check it again because the tire kept losing pressure. After another 30 minutes he tells me it was an old plug that was leaking and they fixed it. Why did I have to tell him that? I wasn't imagining things but he wanted to waste my time twice just to get the tire repaired. Thankfully I didn't accept his explanation and pressed the issue. 3. My tires were due to be rotated and balanced and they told me that the tread on the front are much lower than the back so they couldn't do it but would be happy to sell me some new ones...no thanks. Luckily it only took 30 minutes for them to tell me that and if I need new tires, I'm going somewhere that can get me in and out without waiting for hours and who has techs that I have confidence in. Also, one final note, whenever I leave their tire service, there's always grease and oil on my fabric door panels that I have to clean. It's a small thing but irritates the crap out of me that I usually have to clean my car when I leave this place because of greasy hands leaving smears. The employees are nice but if I have an issue, it's a long wait with so-so results that usually costs me money even though I have a "warranty". I'll just go elsewhere for tires.

As I…read moreproceed to go to the restroom, I notice that a cart is pushed down the hallway and I proceed to walk back to the counter to ask the attendant if someone could move the cart out of the hallway so that I could proceed to the restroom. The attendant then told me that the restroom was temporarily closed, but I pressed as it was an emergency. Immediately following my inquiry a second attendant shouted at me to "go piss outside. " This is absolutely abhorrent and unprofessional. I hope the two attendants choose to abide by a more mature decorum in the future.

First of all, I got an eye roll, when I came up to the counter, then I asked, "do you have a bag" and she said, "yes, but the ice won't fit in it". So, I asked for the bag, not if it the ice fit in it. When I picked up the bag of ice from the outside, it fit in the bag! The one thing I cannot stand is rude customer service. Who trained you? Did you know that you make a business look bad with your awful attitude? I wish business owners and/or managers would pay better attention to this at their places of business. I've been in the "On the Run" store and it's one of the few Chevrons that has the original Coke and Strawberry flavored Icees which are my favorite.(try mixing both flavors together it tastes really good.) The store is clean, the bathrooms are clean and the employees are pretty nice too. It's also open 24 hours and to my knowledge it hasn't been robbed like the Circle K across the street so it might be a little safer to go to at night if you're by yourself.
