My law practice of the last 18 months or so is such that I have more business lunches and eating out so I do not come here as often but when I eat in, this is still a go to spot for me.

I live next door so the convenience is out of this world. They have an incredible snack selection and I can always count on finding my Razzleberry Peace Tea here. They're also actually sort of famous in this area of Baton Rouge for the hot lunches they sell. Chicken, biscuits, sandwiches. They've had to set up a few tables outside because so many people who work in this area stop by for lunch. They've made a name for themselves and I couldn't be happier for them!

Habitually they roll up at 4:35-4:45. For years some of us customers have patronized Popingo's for our breakfast needs in the morning before heading to work. Time is important. These new owners seem to not give a damn about time. So, it may be time to take my/your/our business elsewhere.

Well guys, I may have found my new grocery store. I've only stopped in here a few times when I…read moreneeded to grab something on the way to work, for the restaurant. Visiting today for myself was a great experience. I'll be honest I don't know how much groceries usually cost because I have don't often to make groceries. I usually make the terrible mistake of going to the store every time I wanna cook. The prices seemed good. I was able to get food to cook dinner 3 times (turkey wings, 5 pounds of ground beef, red bean sausage, peppers, onions), sushi( made in house, I made the terrible mistake of going to the grocery store, hungry), some disposables and a few snacks for about $80. The store was very clean. very organized. lots of local products to choose from in addition to the big named stuff you are used to.

On December 24, 2025 (Christmas Eve), I experienced a pricing discrepancy and unprofessional…read morecustomer service at a High Neighbor location. I selected multiple bags of Bernard's candies that were displayed directly beneath a $3.29 shelf label. At checkout, the items rang up as $9.49 per bag. I questioned the discrepancy and returned to the shelf to verify the pricing. Photos taken at the time clearly show the product placed under the $3.29 label. The front-end manager, Dearian, responded dismissively, walked away from the situation, and made no attempt to resolve or de-escalate the issue. This occurred during a very busy holiday period and was embarrassing as staff openly discussed the situation at the register. During the interaction, it was stated that customers had been complaining about this same pricing issue for approximately five days, yet the shelf placement had not been corrected. This indicates prior knowledge of the issue and failure to take corrective action. The store manager on duty, Jose, later assisted and provided only a partial price adjustment, as reflected on my receipt. While an adjustment was made, it did not adequately address the misleading pricing or the unprofessional conduct. This experience raises concerns about pricing accuracy, management accountability, and customer service standards. Repeated incidents like this risk misleading customers and driving business away. Requested Resolution: 1. Written apology acknowledging how this was handled 2. Confirmation of leadership/customer service training for involved management 3. Store credit or refund consideration as a goodwill gesture Photos of shelf placement and receipts are available for documentation.

Today we tried the grill items-the carnivore pizza, ham and cheese Poboy and a meatpie. All were very good, quite a bit of food, but for those two items +2 drinks from the convenience store it came to just over $30. I do think that's a little bit high priced for a convenience store, but it is convenient and the food is amazing. The ham and cheese poboy, although the items seem simple, the flavor is just really good, especially since they toast it. Great toppings on the carnivore pizza, including sausage, ham and rotisserie chicken. They wood fire it and it gives it a nice crisp crust. They have a nice area with tables in the back. You can even sit outside. We were served quickly and will definitely be back to Oak Grove market.
