My goodness! The memories that come to me when I entered this little corner store. I grew up not far from here and my dad and grandmother would bring us here for crawfish or snowballs on Sunday afternoon. It's almost just like I remember it. But as for my review. The crawfish was awesome. Not too spicy, but I love a super spicy crawfish, with good flavor. Hmmm my only complaint would have been they were a touch tough, but not to the point that I couldn't eat them. The man behind the counter knew the names of all 4 people in the store with me!!! My new goal in life is for him to know my name too. It felt very neighborly. This may be my new Friday crawfish spot

If you've seen my bike, message me (and i know it's not in the basement of the Alamo).

The 'Corner is a bike ride away from my house...wait a minute! Someone stole my bike! No really, they did. Someone walked into my backyard, went into my shed and rode off on my bike. They didn't take the golf clubs, or stereo, or TV, or coolers...just my bike. I have since installed a door and lock, so don't get any ideas. If you've seen my bike around please let me know. It's pretty hard to miss. I've uploaded a pic. Oh yeah...The 'Corner is a walk that would be more fun on a bike away from my house. They have everything as long as you want to pay twice as much. They do have boiled crawfish and shrimp that smell delicious. Snoballs in the summer too. Really nice people own/work here, so give them some business so I have a place to buy a really expensive 6 pack of PBR that's within...walking distance.

Sometimes you just want to pick up some beer and crawfish to go...this is our go-to spot for just that. They always have a good selection of items and the prices are very reasonable.

Bella has long been a customer of the Corner and loves the snacks. In fact, Li can hear her scream from her scooter as we play

It is the perfect way to virtually travel to SK and as a former world traveler, I was blown away by how authentic this place was. From the kimbap expertly wrapped in triangle-shaped plastic to the adorable photo booth that offers visitors a chance to take silly photos with props and special effects, Seoul Stop reminded me so much of my time in Korea. The tuna kimbap was spicy and rich while the bulgogi kimbap featured sweet and savory beef enveloped in soft pillowy rice. We also enjoyed the wide variety of Korean snacks, with our favorites being the BBQ drumstick chips and the chocolate Pepero. The green onion popcorn was also surprisingly addictive and turned out to be the perfect movie-watching snack. Seoul Stop also has a few fresh dessert items like red bean buns, ice creams, and assorted cake slices. There's also quite a few pantry staples like gochujang and kimchi plus lots and lots of ramen! 10/10 If you're in BR looking for a unique experience, I highly recommend Seoul Stop. Service was super friendly and I'll definitely be back to stock up on more snacks!

Other than the convenient location, there is not much good to say about it. My most recent stop here involved a quest for liquid refreshment. I had been to this station many times for fuel, but this may have been my first stop inside the store. From the outside the store is not very appealing. The windows and doors are covered in bars. That level of security led me to believe that they were expecting trouble and that put my guard up. Inside the store is very small and cramped. Luckily I was the only customer or navigating would have been difficult. I did get a very weird feeling from the cashier as he stared at me throughout my entire shopping experience. I guess I looked like some sort of degenerate shoplifter since I hadn't shaved all weekend, so I understand his apprehension when I walked in. After finding what I needed I paid and left. Besides the inhospitable store, the pumps are not easy to navigate. There are only a few pumps and someone pulling up to the store is likely to block one entire set of pumps. If the pumps aren't blocked you're OK, but on almost all of my visits I have had to turn on the side street and enter from there as opposed to entering from Government Street. If you are in the downtown BR area, this may be your only option. I suggest waiting till you leave the area, but if you absolutely must stop here, now you know what to expect.

I have, however, never tried the Old Hammond location simply because I'm rarely in that area. Recently, a coworker said that they had great sandwiches there, so here I am. And my favorite poboy, especially being from New Orleans, is the hot sausage patty poboy. I have had the links and don't care for them. This poboy was excellent, the store was clean, and the staff was friendly. They have real New Orleans poboy bread, so kudos and kisses for that. I get my poboys dressed with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and sometimes pickles (when I'm feeling picky). Yes, I made up the word prickly because sometimes I have a taste for pickles and sometimes I don't. Anyway, try this location and you won't be disappointed. Just look at my pictures! FYI: You can get almost any kind of poboy that you can imagine here.
