Seems like a popular place, which I can understand after visiting. There is a really cool old historical water wheel. Sometimes it's running. Sometimes not. Apparently people hide painted rocks here on occasion as well. No pets allowed though sadly.

The volleyball court is in disrepair though. And sadly the paper mill up the road makes the air smell bad depending on which way the wind blows. The gym is great, great backboards, and would be perfect if it wasn't for the floors. It's hard to plant or change direction/do any type of movement without having your feet slip, so this feels really dangerous at times if you're trying to play a game. I would recommend just shooting around or playing very casually if playing indoors. There are 2 outdoor full courts with 10' rims on one end and about 9'6" on the other end. These courts would have also been perfect if it wasn't for the short hoops at one end. I'm really not sure why it was made this way, but I usually go here to play halfcourt. Other than that, there are really good single rims and above average backboards (especially for an outdoor court). The flooring here is nothing like I have ever seen before and it grips really well! It also feels a little easier on the knees than a traditional outdoor court. On a nice day it can get REALLY packed so you might have to wait for a court or try to play pick-up. There are also 2 public tennis courts in the area that can also get busy. They are really well maintained, but it can also get busy on a nice day!

Because I couldn't find any open parking spaces and people were lined up outside the recreation center, I ended up leaving to go to another polling place. Lynwood Park is on Osborne Road, and you either know exactly where it is, or just accidentally stumble upon it because you're completely lost. It's definitely in an out of the way location, but that's what makes it nice. The second time I came to this park, it was to practice my tennis serves. The park has two tennis courts that are well maintained, especially for being in a public park. The courts are first-come, first served. Tennis players are generally polite and will not hog the tennis courts. While I was there for a little over an hour, I noticed that there were playground equipment for kids to climb on, a covered picnic area with tables, two full sized basketball courts, a swimming pool and a multi-use grass field. I didn't go into the recreation center, so I have no idea what's in it. I haven't been to Lynwood Park often enough to get a better feel of the vibe, but I'm sure I'd be using most of the facilities constantly if I lived nearby. My picture didn't actually do any justice to the appearance of the park because the park looks much nicer in person. Drop me a note if you want to hit some tennis balls with me!

There are a lot of roots on the unpaved path but it's not a challenging trek. The part I would be most careful about is the end, as it can be slippery on the wet rocks closest to the waterfall. The waterfall itself is very large (larger than what pictures make it seem even) and nice to look at. The parking situation is very minimal - it's really just space off the side of the road for a few cars to park in. The drive there is nice, and you can see many old lake houses alongside the river.

The bath houses are always clean, they have 2 different camp hosts, who are both very helpful and keep the campsites at a clean, topnotch level. There is a boat launch, 2 different playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, pickle ball, horseshoes, volleyball sand area, and kayak rentals with various sizes of life jackets available. They also have a sandy beach area and are dog friendly! There is a camp store and Snack Shack(but they haven't been open since we've been here, April/May). But we played giant checkers on the store porch. It has a wonderful view of the lake with nice rocking chairs to relax in. There are also picnic areas for day use for a small entry fee. Overall, it was a great place to stay with family and friends.

We did take a local jaunt out on a drier afternoon, but the next day we were leaving. This is a beautiful park with many spacious sites. We did enjoy our stay here, but wished we had better weather. A picnic table and fire pit were available for our use. I forgot if it had a BBQ grill, but we had our own. We had electric and water hook up. We'll be back again.
