We drove into town two weeks into a 7 week road trip with a busted coolant hose. Showed up first thing Monday morning and he asked if I had an appointment. Of course I did not because I had just driven in the night before. He explained that he wouldn't be able to look at the car until Friday unless he had some cancellations. We were leaving town on Friday heading to our next destination and this was the only Mercedes repair shop in town. We had already rented a car so I told him we would just leave it in car he had a chance to look at it before then. They called me the next day and told me they needed a few parts. Doing a road trip and in Jackson Hole, Wyoming when our Volvo XC 90's "check engine" light came on. It was Sunday when this happened and all auto shop were closed. The next morning, we had fly fishing reserved (that we couldn't cancel because it was too late). Called around and Adam (from Rabbit Row Auto Repair) answered. Told him what our problem was with the car. He was so nice to tell me that we could stop by the shop and he could take a look at our car. We did just that after our fly fishing trip. The last 2 times I have brought my '84 VW Vanagon into them for idling issues, they did not fix the problem...and I was charged $485-$600 for a "diagnosis". They just couldnt fix anything.There was no communication from the service manager as to what the plan was...or what had been done. The last time they had my van for a week. No communication at all. "Diagnosis"...$485. They have a style of fix this and see what happens....if that doesn't work then try something else. I realize older vw's can have issues that are difficult to diagnose...but they need to admit that older vw's are out of their realm. So, I shipped the vanagon to a reliable shop in salt lake city called Utah Imports. They had the van in the shop for 30 minutes before they figured out the problem. They called to say what the diagnosis was. .I approved...they fixed it. Done deal. Rabbit Row is a rip off. Sorry. read more

Highly recommend this shop. Was on a road trip in my Volvo XC60 when it overheated on Teton Pass. Not only did these guys get me in quickly late in the afternoon, they fixed not one but two problems that popped up. They went out of their way to diagnose the issues and despite having a full schedule, took care of everything quickly and for a reasonable price considering how complicated everything got. The owner and staff are very pleasant, and no doubt competent. I received a coupon in the mail advertising a free inspection to tell me what the "check engine" light meant on my car, so I went in. When I picked up the car that afternoon, however, I was presented a bill for $123, and told that they had also inspected the rest of the car, and that I needed new struts (one was leaking, which I knew), new brakes and rotors (which I had already scheduled to replace with the dealership in Idaho Falls), and replacement fuel senders (the cause of the check engine light). I neither requested nor authorized the additional inspections, so I was not happy with the bill. They were also kind enough to give me an estimate to do all the repair work, which totaled over DOUBLE what the dealership charged me for the work the next week. They were very pleasant, but getting charged $120 for a "free" inspection and then getting quoted rates double the dealership rate mean I won't be back. read more

Where to start, with the service or the amenities?? First off, the most pleasant auto-related waiting room I have ever waited in. A great hand-painted mural, free wifi, coffee, chocolates, candy, pretzels, music, conversation, cute dogs, magazines besides exhaust system weekly, a great clock in the bathroom... But the real reason we ended up here, an unexpected detour on a short ski safari, was a broken 1987 VW Vanagon. The shop who towed us, after wholly mis-diagnosing the problem, refused (along with everyone else in Jackson) to work on our vehicle. Fortunately, one of them stayed on the phone long enough to refer us to Rabbit Row. Despite the name, it is not a VW shop. They work on all makes, with Audis, Volvos, Fords and p.o.s Ponitac Aztecs (sorry if you are an owner) in the bays next to my baby... After hearing that we'd have to wait days for obscure VW parts to be shipped from other states, Adam at Rabbit Row was happy to tell us he had what we needed in stock. Although he did not think he had time to work on us until mid-week, he finally caved to our pleading and even chucked it up on the lift within minutes of our arrival. After waiting in the antechamber for a few hours, diddling around on the free wifi, reading the New Yorker & chatting with Adam, Westy was up and running two days earlier than expected. Adam even brought us lunch from a local's spot called D.O.G. He deserves a big raise! Happy times after a day of complete incompetence and unhelpfulness yesterday. Oh and go to Lotus for breakfast if you're ever in Jackson Hole. It is THE ONLY place that serves breakfast after 11:30 am. read more

Oh my...this place was honestly a God send. I'm out here from Colo on my own and my entire under-cage on my car started dragging over the pass from Victor. They had my car in the back within 10 minutes of arriving and back on the road within the hour. They were absolutely fantastic! My only complaint is there aren't closer to Colo. I had recently made the 1,000 mile journey from Cave Creek Arizona to Wilson Wyoming to visit my boyfriend for a few weeks. Upon my departure to head back home I noticed my car was making a weird squeak. I had gotten my oil changed along with a full service prior to the trip so this worried me. Trying to find someone to fix your Mercedes in a small town was rather worrisome. I called the guys at Rabbit Row and they got me in and out on the same day. Turns out the people who had changed my oil back in Arizona didn't replace the oil filter properly and it was causing some major leakage. Before leaving on a long road trip hauling an RV from WY to CA we needed a shop to have our breaks changed per advice of a ford dealership. A friend recommended Rabbit Row which had very competitive prices. We were pleasantly surprised when the owner informed us we did not need breaks. My Mercedes SUV "Brake pad" warning light came on. No dealer in sight. Had to traverse heavy mountain terrain to get back to Portland. Chevy dealer recommended these guys. Drove in, left it, and later received the call with the diagnosis. Needed new rear brakes and he could probably fix it by the end of the next day. I obviously agreed. I didn't have much choice but might have been a bit skeptical. Got the call next day. Car fixed. No warning light anymore. Brakes seemed to work perfectly and we made it home safe and sound. So get this, in this day and age of mishaps, these guys obviously had to have parts flown in overnight. They had to then install them, properly, all within a 24 hour window. I can't even get my food order right from nearly every restaurant but there's guys pulled off what I thought would take days in little more than 24 hours. I HIGHLY recommend them. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE place. I wish I could give them a big fat ZERO. I took my car in and told them I was pretty sure i needed a new starter. They proceeded to call me FIVE DAYS later telling me I better start looking for a new car because it would be 11,000$ to fix my 2007 BMW. BUT They also told me they would BUY my car from me for 300$!!!! Are you kidding me?! I immediately took my vehicle to auto tech and turns out it was the starter...Like I had thought. The good news was the exhaust system had self-healed, but they did not charge us for the diagnostic services. These Rabbits are incompetent at best and crooks at worst. They charged me almost $1000 for basically a tune-up which only addressed the symptoms of my car's problem, and not the problem itself. Furthermore, they used very poor quality components. My mechanic in California was able to actually identify the problem, fix the problem, and additionally replaced the shoddy components used by Rabbit Row for about the same number of carrots I handed over to the Rabbits. They prey on tourists in the area. read more

Driving over Teton Pass we lost power steering and all sorts of dash lights came on. Luckily we called Phil the owner at Rabbit Row he was able to diagnos the problem over the phone (a broken serpentine belt) we called a tow truck to take us to Rabbit Row. Phil and Erik our mechanic were professional and caring as they put our truck in the garage right away ordered the parts and got us back on the road and over the pass with plenty of daylight to make the drive!
