From start to finish, their service was outstanding, the price fair...and my house looks great! Robert Sherman, the owner, and Lalo, the lead painter, met with me for a thorough walkthrough to discuss the project. Their attention to detail really stood out as they carefully explained what needed to be done. The estimate they provided was clear and detailed, with no surprise add-ons along the way. Robert and Lalo kept in touch daily, updating me on the progress and making sure I was always in the loop. Their professionalism and dedication were truly impressive. Very Disappointing Work and No Follow-Through…read more This is by far the worst contractor experience I've had. I hired him to do a full flake epoxy garage floor. The garage previously had carpet, and because the house is 50 years old, the concrete edges were chipped and damaged. He explicitly promised to repair all edges and properly prep the floor. He didn't. He started repairing a couple of spots, then got tired and quit mid-job, saying he would "fix everything with epoxy." The edges were never fixed. Even worse, there was zero proper floor preparation -- no grinding, no sanding, no buffing, no real cleaning. He didn't even have the basic tools to remove old carpet glue and had to use my blade. After doing the flakes he didn't even scrape it out to rem the excess flake and I know that for sure because there are a couple of screws on the floor covered with the final coat!!! LOL The result is a dangerous and unacceptable floor. The surface is extremely rough, and the flakes stick out so badly that they will cut your feet if you walk barefoot. This is not cosmetic -- it's a failure of basic epoxy installation. I chased him for over a month. Every time, he promised to come back and fix it. Every time, there was another excuse. He never showed. The "lifetime warranty" he advertises is a lie, because once he gets paid, he disappears. To add insult to injury, he charged me three times the normal $800 price, yet delivered work that doesn't meet even minimum professional standards. Now I have to pay another contractor to redo the entire floor. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Do not hire this person.

Took me a while to post this review. I found them on Yelp hoping the reviews are legit. Some of…read morethem probably are. And as much as I would like to give them a good review, them being our last contractor before we finally moved back in our house (after 20 long months of being displaced after Hurricane Beryl), it has been stressful cleaning up after the mess these guys have done to our home. And to this day, we're still finding paint splatters on floors, appliances, furnitures, doors; unpainted areas; uneven paint; it never ends. If you own a home, and you have things inside your home, don't hire these guys. They don't respect your property. Shoe prints on top of our table cover, it's so bad we had to throw it away. We had just installed wood floors on our stairs and there's a lot of scruff marks a thick dirt that we had to scrub it clean. They painted over nails. Paint was dumped on our toilets and sinks, and on our lawn. A simple search confirms that these are ILLEGAL. They tried to deny it but then later admitted to it when confronted. We brought up a lot of these issues shortly after they "finished" and they did come to try to correct many of it. And for that, I give them credit for. But I'm still finding paint splatters on several items, to this day, as we're working our way towards fully settling back in our home. ADDITIONALLY: before they came, we had our home thoroughly and professionally cleaned twice by another contractor specializing on air quality. And those cleaners have video proof of their work so we have evidence of the condition of our home (cleanliness-wise) before these painters roughed it it. I'm truly disappointed and I don't recommend this company to anyone at all.

This included walls, ceilings, baseboards, doors and even refinishing the kitchen cabinets. They were so easy to work with-- from the quote to scheduling the work and following up for touch ups. It couldn't have been easier which was surprising given the size of the project. They are bonded and insured and have a supervisor who manages the whole project end to end. The painting of everything turned out really well. The best part though by far was the kitchen cabinets. They were a very light oak color; nice cabinets but a bit outdated in terms of color. The team removed the doors, took them offsite to sand them down and spray them. They turned out perfect-- I get compliments on them all the time. They also refinished a stair banister and fireplace mantel. Both were painted black so these were no small jobs. We had these painted white as well and they turned out beautifully. Their prices were fair, their work was great and the overall project management couldn't have been better. I highly recommend Next Door.
