Valerie is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Go online to her website and sign up to schedule your appointments. The fee is $20 - $40 dollars a treatment. The setup inside is so easy. Come in wearing a mask of course and fill out the envelope with your name and insert cash. Put the envelope in the slot and walk in and find a table. Valerie will come by and ask you what you would like to address. Anything from anxiety to congestion to arthritis you name it. You tell her how long you would like, from 30 to 45 minutes. You just lay back and listen to music. It's such a peaceful arrangement even with other people being treated in the same common room. My normal esthetician, Sherry is no longer there and I had my first appointment with HeeSun. I selected the 90 minute purifying facial. And it was amazing! A small massage is included in the 90 minute facials and she is wonderful! My skin is glowing and I feel super relaxed. Glenda's is a nice, small, quaint little day spa. Please do not go expecting what you would find at the larger, fancy chains. Those are nice on occasion, don't get me wrong. I would certainly recommend Glenda's and now HeeSun who I am going to begin visiting regularly! I had previously rated my experience a 4 star. I've bumped it up today based on my experience with HeeSun. Just a note. There is a checkin special here through Yelp which does not appear to be valid. The receptionist indicated this is not supposed to be listed here, so until they pull it, you will likely have issues redeeming it.

It's in a cute, little white house on a side street in Bel Air, away from all the big stores and traffic. The spa is on the second level and as you are going up the stairs you can hear slow, relaxing music playing. I love that the setting for this spa is in a house because it makes it feel much more homey and relaxing. The "trendy" spas seem too busy with people rushing around and I can't fully relax. The atmosphere here is very calm and soothing and definitely made my massage more enjoyable. Roseanne was my masseuse and she was very friendly. While I was filling out the initial visit form, she introduced herself and offered me a cup of water. She took me to the room and we talked about what areas I would like her to focus on and then she stepped out so I could get undressed. The next hour was completely wonderful and relaxing. Roseanne concentrated on my upper back and lightly touched upon other areas, just as I requested. After the hour was over, Roseanne left the room and I got dressed and met her back in the main waiting room where she gave me another cup of water. We chit chatted for a few minutes and then I left and felt so rejuvenated. I would definitely return for another massage :)

My wife typically gets a relaxing massage. So off I went and signed up with Pamper Urself. Upon my arrival, I really like the layout of where her massage room was set up. As I walked in, there was a ver pleasant smell of essential oil in the room. Of course, there was wind chime/flute type music. I always laugh internally at this music because if it's so relaxing why don't people play it all the time. Anyway, personal preference I know . When I met Lateeku she was very professional and personal. She offered me a relaxing massage or a deep tissue massage. Since we have been doing a lot of spring cleaning my shoulders and back we're kind of sore. So, I asked for the deep tissue massage and........ WOW!!!!!! She was no joke. Lateeku is not very tall but she could probably bend metal with her hand strength. She worked every knot out of every muscle in my shoulders and back. It was remarkable. I would absolutely recommend her massage to anyone looking for a great massage.

On my second visit, ssked for a home exercise program from the therapist (who was professional) but was then quickly handed over to an assistant to get the home exercises. That didn't happen. In advance, I asked for a therapist trained in the McKenzie Method based on recommendations for low back pain. Phone person (who was very nice) checked and said that would be no problem. However therapist I saw, while familiar, wasn't certified. Place is jammed with older people (with potentially no/low deductibles) and, by listening to the patients checking in, a LOT of workers comp patients who are looking for reasons to not go or leave work. So ka-ching$$$, for Gold Medal every time they visit. Physical therapy services that are provided are adequate and not quackery but unless you have the in-office equipment they use at home, you have to come in. Younger front office staff complained loudly to each other about being understaffed. I chose Gold Medal in part based on Massage Therapy services advertised. Only to discover it's all out of pocket and they only have one massage therapist. Plus they haven't figured out that billing massage therapy as manual therapy is what works for insurance companies so it's covered. Actually went back to my doctor for a new referral and found superior service with another PT office in Bel Air. That PT worked with me the entire time, provided a home exercise program on my first visit, and asked if once a week would work with my schedule though no massage therapist on staff.
