Not since my divorce have I been ripped off this badly. I was out of state for a couple of weeks on…read morebusiness and wasn't able to be there for his visit. (Notice I did not say inspection). He didn't find much to report, but I'll get to that. Upon moving in, I noticed on day 1 that the doorbell wasn't working. I looked over his "report" and I did not see it listed. I gave him a call and he said that he does not check doorbells because it is a "low voltage system". What? I thought any idiot could ring a doorbell but apparently not. Okay, a hundred dollars or so to get that fixed. No big deal. I also noticed (on day one) that the circuit breaker for the heat pump is tripped. I reviewed his report and noticed in the photo that the heat pump was on "Emergency Heat" in his photo. The heat pump compressor does not actually come on in Emergency Heat mode so it would not have tripped the circuit breaker but it also does not tell you if the heat pump works. Upon pointing this out to him, he admitted that he did not test that correctly. I give him points for admitting his mistake but a new heat pump cost me $6700. He said that I could file a claim but since his company gets to approve or disapprove the claim, I knew that would not get approved and several months later it got denied. When I tried to open the upstairs windows, they would not open. I asked him if he opened them and he said that he opened a "representative number" of windows. All the upstairs windows are the crank open type (the only ones in the house of that type) and it turns out that they were all caulked shut from the outside. I never got an answer as to how many windows is a representative number, especially if you didn't open ANY of that type. There's another $6800. I won't drone on and on about all the numerous little things (like paying hundreds of dollars to troubleshoot light switches that did not work) but I will point out that according to my alarm technician, he sells your information. I thought it was weird that I got a call from an ADT dealer right after his inspection who knew I was moving and about my new house. That turned out to be another costly nightmare. Be cautious of ADT "dealers". They don't actually work for ADT and will end up costing you money. Call ADT if you want their service, not some third party guy who was tipped off. Obviously, I am not happy. The heating system could have failed between his visit and my moving in. Unlikely, but possible. However, if he had inspected the windows it would have saved me $6800. He did a half-a**ed job. BE SURE YOU ARE PRESENT. He and his staff are quick to point out that they can't catch everything. I can understand that, but it gives him a license to steal. He can do as little as he feels like doing. About the only thing he wrote up was the hand wand in the jacuzzi, which actually works great. He did take a lot of pictures, which is the only real proof I have that he was there. Oh, and if you think you can sue him for not doing his work, you have to pay for his lawyer. Is that even legal? You'd be an idiot to sign a contract with a doctor (or anyone else) that says you'll pay his lawyer to defend shoddy work? I was an idiot, but like I said, I was out of state. Don't be an idiot. Your best bet is to just get a friend that knows just a little about houses and do a walkthrough with you. A friend that can open windows and ring a doorbell.

If I could give -10 stars I would. Wildcat home Inspection did a house inspection for my husband…read moreand I and made it seem like there was barely anything at all wrong with the house we was looking to buy.. just a few small easy fixes. So we went on and purchased our home. Needless to say months later when we went to resell to upgrade to something bigger the next potential buyer of our home got an inspection done and it was unbelievable and very shocking how much stuff was actually wrong with our house that Wildcat Home Inspection failed to report. Obvious stuff that a license inspector should catch immediately. The potential buyer backed out and we had to take our house off the market to fix thousands and thousands of dollars worth of damage to our home. If we had known that much major stuff was wrong with the home we wouldn't have purchased the home. It was stuff that had been wrong for years. I would suggest going somewhere else!!!! When we called Wildcat Home Inspection to let them know about this (even emailed them both the inspections) they said the inspection was fine and they would only refund us just the price we paid for the inspection, it was such a slap in the face with how much money we was out of pocket on fixes. Please pick someone else to do your home inspection!!!! We don't have all the money in the world with four children.. this was our first time purchasing a home and we are so heartbroken and upset we got done this way. I don't want this happening to anyone else. Oh and let me not forget to mention the home inspector was hours late.. I drove passed the house a little after the time he was suppose to arrive and no one was there.. I called and he said sorry that he had overslept and was on his way..I know we are all human but seriously!. Negligence for sure. BEWARE!!! I have plenty of Documentation and pics to back me up!!

"INSTALLATION" part 2 of 3…read more I had a new system installed. It was mid range competitive price. The Installers explained everything they were going to do, how long it would take, and what they needed from me (NOTHING). They brought all tools and parts, NO trips into town or the parts supply store was required. They even wore little booties over their foot ware so not to get my floors dirty. The Job took most of a day and they left NO trash, or scraps of metal ducting laying around for me to step on. They knocked each time they had to enter MY home and made sure the doors were shut tight so my dogs wouldn't sneak out. They were very considerate and thoughtful. "SERVICE AFTER INSTALL" Part 3 of 3 On one of the hottest days of the year (90+) the NEW unit would Not produce COLD air. I had people and animals all looking at me saying "Well Do Something", I/m melting here. Yes we were all hot and getting crankier by each passing second and each raising degree. I called the company ("MADISON HVAC") that just recently installed a New system in my home. I just spent $$ on cold air and heat and i'm not getting A/C. They tried to fix the system over the phone but no go so they scheduled a service tech the next opening. The tech arrived and was again friendly and polite. He asked about the issues, and got to work, minutes later he had the system up and running. The part that went out was covered by warranty. They can and will work here anytime. I hear they might be expanding into construction, I will be talking to them for my remodeling jobs in the near future if they want to. Yes They Get 5 Stars. I don't think I have EVER given 5 stars to ANYONE ever before this. They earned it by caring, being knowledgeable, and being professional. Thank you MADISON HVAC/R

Even though they were booked up she called back shortly to say she had a tech coming out to look at it. George showed up and fixed it very quickly. Simply a clogged line. Done and taken care of by 2pm. Again.....very happy with their service.
