The stylists are friendly. The atmosphere is calming. I loved it there! However, within two weeks,…read moreI noticed I was having trouble styling it. NBD I struggle. But it was just one hunk of hair on the left side of my head that I couldn't get it right. It just doesn't blend as nice as the rest of the cut, it's longer and thicker. To be fair, in my 45 years as an adult there has only been one stylist who got my hair right the first time; it always needs to be corrected in that area. My difficulty lies in the fact that over the last 3 days I've made 3 contacts to the salon to correct my hair; an email and 2 voicemails. I have time constraints because we are temporarily down to one vehicle which I did explain in the email and one of the voicemails. I also said I don't need a full service, just please blend this one area. On the day of the cut the Jamila was distracted and hurried - she wasn't who I scheduled with, it was her scheduled day off, and she was late for a video interview. I spent $87.50 of hard-earned money on a cut, style, eyebrow wax, and tips. No one contacted me to see what can be worked out. Totally ghosted. Not professional.

She's just one of those few people that you feel like you've known forever. I know about her life, as she knows about mine and countless other clients'. She genuinely cares for all of her clients, and will give the shirt off of her back if needed. Then there's her talent! Melanie is truly gifted when it comes to color and style. The colors she uses are client specific, meaning she mixes colors to make a unique match for what each client is expecting. The brand of color she uses is so vibrant and rich, I've never found anyone in Florida that uses colors that I can compare to hers. My hair is extremely thick and wavy, so it is very time consuming for a hair dresser to do a proper blow out. The first time I went to Melanie, I almost left in tears because I have NEVER had someone actually take the time to do a full blow out before. For the first time, I actually left the salon feeling beautiful and confident, not wanting to rush home before anyone saw me to style my own hair. I used to work near Melanie's salon so it was convenient for me to go to her. When I started working and living nearly 50 minutes away from Just Fabulous, I tried a local salon recommended by many people in my area. It wasn't at all what I was used to by that point. I had to get back to Melanie ASAP! I will continue to make my drive out to her without complaint, she is 110% worth it. During my last visit, I actually sat next to a woman that traveled hours routinely to get her hair done by Melanie because she moved a few counties down south. If that doesn't prove her worth, I'm not sure what will!

Giving Thanks on this weekend…read more... This review of Melanie comes with such gratitude and love. I received a last minute work assignment notice to Florida. My hair looked like it needed a haircut and a color (bad!). Melanie was kind enough to come in on her day off and on a moments notice! I knew I needed to color my hair but this kind and generous woman had already accommodated me by coming in on her day off. I was NOT going to ask for that additional labor. I was happy with the cut. But she she just couldn't let me go without having my color done. So what does she do? She canceled her appointment so that she could do my color! The atmosphere in the salon was very fun, we were laughing and joking throughout my entire time there. Very positive energy. I have short hair and the cut is very cute and the color has lasted. I have waited 30 days to make this review so that it would be honest and accurate. I will travel up to Lake Mary to have follow up cuts while I'm in this area working. I cannot thank Melanie enough for what she did for me. You won't go wrong getting a haircut here. And the price is a third of what I was paying in Austin, Texas and the Oakland County, Detroit, Michigan metro area. Highly highly recommend.
