This "garbage" alternator died and left me on the side of highway 400 and a $463 tow bill for my trouble. Yad Dooky at Asset Plus Motors sent me to them and wanted me to thank him for fixing it.(maybe it's fixed, maybe not) Never should've been certified with "Garbage Parts"... I got 2 more years out of those brakes, and Marshall's charged $0 for the inspection. They have driven me home/picked me up many times. to the person's review of driver calling in sick - what can you do about that? small family business! You do have to wait for appointments at times, but that is because they are good, honest and fair. If you don't need work, they will tell you. These guys, you can trust.

She got her car looked at there and they said it needed a new catalytic converter which would cost about $730. She ended up going to another mechanic to get a second opinion and it turns out all she needed was a little bit of welding done and it would only cost her $150. She doesn't have a lot of money and me and my brothers all have to live far away for work so we can't be there to look out for dirtbags like thHoldaway Automotive should be ashamed of themselves for trying to take advantage of a poor widow. Companies like Holdaway Automotive are why the general public has a bad impression of mechanics as being sleezy. Edit: as a welder, myself, I find it very hard to believe that an auto shop wouldn't have a cheap little welding machine that anyone could get from Canadian tire.
