At our initial meet and greet, she not only brought over business cards for an emergency and local vet, but took care to ask detailed questions because she wanted to cater specifically to our cat's personality and eating/playing preferences. She is professional, knowledgeable, and quick to respond. While we were away, Emily sent us multiple pictures/videos and left a detailed message on each visit. She brought a bag of toys to see which one Momo preferred and clued us in on the one he liked! She made an effort to clarify our instructions based on her observations when she visited, which I am so glad she did. There is a big yard and the dogs (usually between 2 and 5) have free access to indoor and outdoor space. We look forward to every day Dahlia spends at daycare. She comes home happy and tired! We had some not so great experiences with our last pet sitter, so we are incredibly grateful to have found Paula! Mango seemed very comfortable around Emily, and she even sent us a picture while she was over watching her. We also discovered that Emily does daycare during our conversations with her, and have since tried that route once. It has worked out well knowing that Mango has someone to keep an eye on her throughout the day while we're gone, and not just barking up a storm while locked in her crate all day. Emily communicates primarily through text, which has worked out well for us in coordinating logistics and communicating schedule and updates.

She was smart, reliable, responsible and we all thoroughly enjoyed the years we worked together, certainly including the dogs and their people. Quick story: Katie was boarding one of our pack dogs, Ivy, a scrappy little terrier who woke her at 3am to go out. In seconds Ivy was in a full on fight with a racoon. Katie gets right down in the mix to get them separated, no doubt saving the racoon, that Ivy was relentless. Katie, while clearly warm and caring, is also fearless in the face of danger.
