I tried every key in the junk drawer - nope, that didn't work either. After much frustration, I gave up, relinquished my supergirl badge and called Pop-A-Lock. Jimmy to the rescue! I do not recommend at all when it comes to jump starting a vehicle. On 8/18/25 we reached out to…read moreour insurance, who contracts through Agero who uses Pop-A-Lock. Before arrival, the vehicle simply said low battery. Everything else was working - lights, dash, radio, auto running boards, rear hatch, etc. When the tech arrived, he appeared lost to say the least. He started out on the right side of the vehicle where the fuse box was. He finally figured that out and went to the correct side. He appeared to be watching some sort of video to figure out how to jump the car. Then he disconnected the fuse block from the top of the battery and connected one cable to the POSITIVE terminal post of the battery and the other to the starter relay on the fuse block. Immediately we knew there was a problem as nothing worked - no lights, no dash, no running boards. Nothing. He even made a comment about how this wasn't the first time he had seen it. We had to use a different provider to tow the vehicle (not through Agero) and taken to the dealership. Dealership confirmed that the fuse block was bad. They replaced it + new battery and all was good. We are now having a fight with the insurance company and Agero about who is responsible for this whole deal. Maybe for locks they are good, but don't use them for anything else!
