I knew when I met Calvin that I was going to go with him as long as his pricing was reasonable. He was very courteous when he came to give me a quote. He seemed super honest and I appreciated that he told me he wanted to make me happy and would stand behind his work. Calvin managed the projects and ordered the materials. He stopped by multiple times before and during the work. He also showed that he cared for his people. He wanted to make sure they got paid Friday afternoon. He asked if I was OK if his brother did the step repair job the next day. His brother busted his tail. I spoke to his brother several times. They had a family business that his dad had started and had been working for his dad since he was young. He had a ton of knowledge. Likewise Calvin did. They worked on Wednesday and Friday since Thursday was a washout. Calvin let me know that Thursday would be skipped because rain would affect the quality. On Saturday when his brother did the step his "clean-up" person Georgia came and pulled the boards up and meticulously patched up the grass. She also cleaned the driveway. We kept cars off the driveway for over 7 days as Calvin recommended and didn't walk on it for 5. We love our driveway and I would highly recommend his company aka CHCEC Construction. Calvin was a fantastic communicator throughout the process and got me scheduled quicker then expected since someone cancelled for vacation. Adrian told me he wanted my driveway to make a splash in our neighborhood. He "framed" each square. I have a wide 3 car garage driveway. It looks awesome. Many of my neighbors commented positively. I am attaching pictures of before and after. I am also super happy how Adrian fixed my step. It was cracked and crumbling. He cut out the cracked part and fixed it perfectly. This has driven me crazy for over 25 years when Zaring home builders promised to fix it in our first year and did a crappy job and others later did a crappy job. This was finally done the way it should have been. BTW Calvin's quote was the lowest!

He came in a higher than the other guys on price but when I compared his materials to the other quotes. The other guys were uncutting cost by cheaper labor. You pay for what you get. The guys came back to fix some minor issues with the stairs. And make sure you understand your contract thoroughly because we had to make changes to it a couple times due to misunderstandings but Calvin was willing to work with me on the scopes of work changing during the project. But all and all, the big stuff was done great and on time. I would recommend again if I need concrete work.

I contacted Rick in a rainy part of March; he stopped by a few days later inspected the brick, including the fireplace and before he left he provided a quote. I have never had brick repaired before but his price where where I had budgeted. I did have another brick company quote the work and they were higher in price which put the above my budgetary estimate. We agree to the work in early April and the began the work on the first non-rainy day (chilly but not raining) He put a crew of 5 guys the first day for the chimney and the crew size varied for the rest of the job (never less than 3) 6 full days to repair brick on 3 sides of the house plus rebuilding the chimney. They must have replaced over 100 bricks plus the chimney. The crew was friendly and competent. They each had many years experience with brickwork. Would I hire them again - absolutely without a question.

We returned from vacation and found a large separation next to our sliding door (between the door…read moreand the brick). I had four companies come out to evaluate and the evaluations ranged from "it's seasonal I would wait and see after the ground gets rehydrates" to it is something that needs taken care of today". We chose Ohio Basement Authority because their approach was based on actual information and a bit of science. I must say they were not the least expensive of the options, in fact they were the highest. However I wanted to fix the problem and not have to worry. We were informed the wall had dropped about an inch across the 25ft length. Without going into great detail, placing piers to stabilize the wall was recommended and we agreed with the solution. The team (Bradley R. and Jacob P.) that came to do the work were knowledgeable and professional. They introduced themselves and asked if there was a problem starting early. Then they began work as soon as they could, they had to go get a smaller backhoe to fit through our gate. They kept us informed throughout the process and were respectful of the space. This is a very invasive process digging down to the bottom of the foundation. The pile of dirt was amazing as well as the trench it was extricated from, but again they attempted to keep the mess minimal (which is not possible). After completion of the pier placement they filled in the trench and leveled the massive dirt pile the best they could, we will have to wait for some settling to get a final leveling. I would definitely recommend Ohio Basement Authority from the sales team to the installers they are geat.

Now I am dealing with a huge mess in the yard and spending more money to get that fixed and on top of that, I see where they cracked the foundation/footer on the outside. Working with them was a mess. There does not seem to be a central person to answer questions. The garage never really got leveled but at least it's not supposed to sink anymore and is stable. It's supposed to be guaranteed but who knows? Don't be fooled by the ads. They make everything look nice in the ads but I still have a giant crack that's now filled with foam. I mean, it's a detached garage, but still...Do some looking around and NEVER let anyone high pressure you. Lesson learned.
