Since his…read morefirst visit, the high quality, efficiency and affordability of his work continue to astonish us. No motion is wasted when he arrives, covering every window and house surface and leaving no dirt behind. I've never seen a challenge derail him. Today when he opened a window to discover a foot long mud dauber nest cemented into most of the height of the side of the window sill, he proceeded without hesitation to chisel, wipe, remove and contain it, and to move on to the finish the rest of the house in record time. Mr. Haraway's experience, skill, integrity and professionalism are exceptional and recommended without reservation.

I contacted SS for an estimate to clean the windows on my house. The estimate I received started…read morewith a quote for house washing which I had not asked for. It then provided 3 prices for different levels of window cleaning. That section was followed by a proposal for a 2 year proposal for a visit each year which included a range of services including window washing. This was followed by a 2 year, 2 visit proposal. When I sought clarification on the 2 year, 1 visit proposal they responded with information about the window cleaning levels that did not address my specific question. When I followed up to get my question answered they noted that the multi-year agreement was not relevant to the window washing only. They did offer a discount on the window washing because of the confusion. Further correspondence revealed that the discount only comes on subsequent services and they offered to prepare a proposal detailing all of this. Then I learned that they would not provide the proposal until I had scheduled (and received?) the first year service. At that point, the red flag was up and I responded that I was not going to hire them because the process and information had been confusing from the start and did not improve. My concern being that any issues with the actual work would result in the same communication problems. Amazingly, they responded and essentially put it back on me....what I couldn't understand..... Never in 40 plus years of providing professional services did I ever tell a potential client that they were the problem.

It looks like a new house. They also went above and beyond, trimming back shrubs that were in the way and replacing some rotting wood in a window sill and on the shed. We have owned the home for about 3 years, but I am pretty sure it hadn't been power washed or painted in YEARS! They were also very quick to provide an estimate, start and finish the work, and the cost - even after a miscommunication on my part stayed on budget. We are remote and I was able to manage the project via text from a hundred miles away most days. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them for any future paint jobs.

It turns out the dryer duct was fine so I gave them another small job to go with hanging the storage rack. Of course something always has to go wrong and in my case they hit metal when going into my garage ceiling. Being fearful of why there was metal at that specific spot in the ceiling, they proceeded very cautiously. I authorized them to cut an inspection hole in the ceiling to see what it was. Come to find out it was a steel beam! Well, now that they knew what it was, there was no issue completing the job and doing an excellent job patching the inspection hole as well. Well done! Perhaps not the cheapest guys in town but you get what you pay for and I will definitely use them again.
