I recently decided to have my Grand Cherokee detailed, first time since I relocated to Alaska. I did a lot of research prior to taking it to RC, primarily reading reviews of all the local detail shops. I dropped the car off and it was pretty simple. I found out they do have a loaner service when you drop your car off but this wasn't offered to me so I'm not sure what you have to do to get a loaner. So 8 hours after dropping the car off I got a text message, not a phone call, that the car was ready. (Kind of aggravating that they don't take a minute and make a phone call, not everyone does the text thing.) So fast forward to picking up the car, I arrived and the guy, RC, was eager to take the payment but never once offered to go over what they did on the car, something I've always gotten when having my vehicles detailed in the lower 48. Once I paid the nearly $400 ($375 for the Extreme Detail) he was pretty much done with me. Not even a thank you for using them or anything. So I started going over the car myself after paying and I found there were still black marks (tar or road grime) on the paint down on the rocker panels. Also, surprisingly, they didn't even touch the engine bay. I guess it's my fault for assuming that it would be included in the EXTREME package, I've paid far less for a detail prior to this and everything was included in this type of package, including engine bay. So to end, the detail was just okay, not close to the best detail I've had, and they don't do the whole car. I don't think I'd pay this place $375 for another partial detail. read more
