Ended up going here after dinner Saturday night. $5 to get in and the time we arrived lots of open seating, the drinks from the bar were pretty good. The bathroom is nice and clean which is a good thing for a bar, the food was pretty good as well

Friendly atmosphere, great staff and delicious food. We attended their Sunday Brunch and a show and my wife and I had a wonderful time!!! The owners even came by our table to speak to us for a few minutes.

Dude be dressing up like gals and doing their thang, hey I have no problem with that. Just keep yo stuff to yourselves and I will keep to mines. Good beer selection and music isn't bad, a little disco some nights. It's a good bar, just gotta watch out for unwanted poka sticks. That's all. LOOK after dark, i know the world is a scary place and labor is expensive and bar alcohol consumption is on the decline. but i guarantee this vibe youre setting is not the first impression you want to make, at best, and at worst - and i mean this as a gay and longtime customer - is going to figuratively poison the well one way or the other. which is a shame because, especially at the old location, i quite enjoyed going here (for many, many years). no more!

Corn field on both sides of you, maybe a horse and buggy in front of you, the occasional religious semi-inspirational, "God Bless You." I drove back and forth and the only thing that looks like it might possibly fit the description of this place is a corn silo, everything else is housing and barns. I thought maybe I had completely misunderstood the directions. Once I got back from my drive through the country I checked the location on Google, try it. Do you notice it places the restaurant in Michigan? I'd really like a Gay bar/Lounge/Mexican Restaurant near my house, but this rainbow doesn't seem to actually touchdown anywhere.

The kind of meaning when ladies kiss ladies? Well, that lesson will help when visiting Julia's. This place is a mix between Mexican restaurant, gay bar and outdoor lounge. Karaoke on Friday nights is simple but sufficient (Morrissey, The Cure, Depeche Mode and lots of Top 40 stuff), and the host really can sing quite nicely. Drinks are cheap and potent, with a list of special shots on the wall. Beers were just over $2, and shots ran about $3.50 apiece. I wasn't hungry enough to try Julia's wet burritos, but I'm told they're phenomenal.

Duffy's Place - I forgot to mention the sausage and cabbage pierogi! Pretty good!

So this 5 star has a few asterisks. Appearance wise when you walk in, it looks like more of a…read moresports bar than a dive bar. We stopped for drinks bc of the dive bar-type reviews. A minute in, we realized they allow smoking which we weren't use to since we are from New York. (In that category, I'd give a 3 star) We sat a a high top and were quickly and friendly greeted. The crowd was getting busy just before 5 pm on a Wednesday. The array of local characters was amazing, all friendly but all walks of life. The prize of the day was that we ordered a round of beers for 5 of us. I ordered a PBR as they had a huge PBR inflatable can outside and I love me a cold Pabst. The server asked "can or draft?" Great to have a choice so I picked draft. It was happy hour so that was $1! Not a typo! We had dinner plans elsewhere so had to run after 1 round. I closed out our tab for $6.50. Tipped $9 because my mind was blown by prices. There is outside seating if you want to avoid the smoke. There was a 1970s vintage "smoke eater" hanging from the ceiling that by my best guess, hasn't been run since the Berlin Wall came down. Definitely a dive bar. This place is a must visit if in the area. Great people and great vibe. Cold and cheap beer and ample parking. I need to go back on a Friday night. Sorry no photos this time around.
