Want to smell what the eastern shore is like before you get in? The herons made out of PVC pipe are famous, the items that involve carvings are classic, and this is all that reminds of the eastern shore. Don't pass this by, the owners are amazing, and this is a GREAT find!

Great place to stop. We have bought wood from Rob and Tracy several times and we are heading to the Eastern Shore this weekend for more.

To get there there is a back road to turn into their front parking lot. In the spring/Summer they…read morehave more inventory. Their prices are cheaper than McDonald's garden center in Virginia Beach. This past summer they were selling some pots that were also sold at Mcdonald Garden Center. Danny (I think that was his name, horrible memory today) was so kind. He held a nice conversation during our time shopping. He does offer some consignment options for local artists. I love that he supports the locals in that area. Not only do they have pottery, but lots of decorative items and a section that I'll call the "yard sale." Do not let the exterior scare you. Everything is great.

I would not say this is the worst Pottery Place, but it's close. Ok, it's pretty bad. The prices…read moreare high and the quality is low. I was going to pick up a new bird bath and even the small ones were $80 and I don't think they were concrete or fired pottery. It looked more like some type of resin. When you tapped on the stuff it sounded hollow. The brochure makes this place sound awesome, but it's more awe there's some stuff but not so great. The place is big, with the quasi pottery outside. Inside is the fireworks and other touristy things to purchase. The brochure also says antique lamps and frames. I did not see anything even close to that in the store. If you want to waste your time, stop here, other wise go next door to the other big building full of antiques and treasures. It's called Terrapin Station Antiques and Collectibles. Nice things and nice people to help you in the store.

This is a small florist shop but also tons of other items like crystals, herbs, incense, etc. Some beautiful small decorative items for the home are inside with a ton of spiritual cleansing items and incense burners as well as some pretty tin/handmade chimes. The ladies inside were very friendly and welcoming and I enjoyed browsing the goodies and looking at all their wares.

You cannot replicate the level of style, taste and creativity that sits in every corner of this expertly curated store. The highlight is definitely the terrarium bar. You can choose your plant, choose the accessories (not sure if that's the right word, but think rocks, crystals, moss, etc.) and the container. The selection is exceptionally beautiful. They also carry other plants and greenery. But for me, the best part of this store is the gifts, soaps, incense, candles, home goods and Buddha-inspired trinkets. They also had a lovely collection of quality tumbled and raw gemstones. It's like they curated all their goods just for me! This store is an entire dream. I could easily spend so much money in here. The moment you walk in, you'll be delightfully overwhelmed with great smells, visual beauty and a sense of positivity. Make time to go inside this store when you are on your Mason Avenue shop crawl in Cape Charles. You will not regret the experience of this fabulous local business!

Lemontree Gallery and Studio (LGAS) is a beautifully curated art gallery. It was one of the few…read moreplaces that were open in Cape Charles during our visit and the whole vibe of it starting from the front patio was intriguing, so we popped our heads in. The lady working in the studio was conversing with a patron but made sure to welcome us when we walked in. The gallery is very bright inside and the colors of all the different artwork just added to the vibe. The gallery houses quite a number of artwork without it being too overcrowded. They have a mix of large paintings, ceramics, unique jewelry and even furniture. This is the kind of place that I wish I had more time to walk around in alone, but I was with my family so I did the quickest scan I could haha. I noticed things like painted oyster shells (LOVE this type of art), unique jewelry that feels like a soft plastic/silicone/rubber (I'm probably severely mistaken on the type of material), but it was beautiful, very flat, to almost make the appearance that the jewelry is actually a painting on your skin. There was also handmade earrings made with leather pieces. There was an interesting section of large seahorses that was kind of "bedazzled" for lack of a better word, adorned in jewels. They have this beautiful spacious corner in the back, a stage with a piano and the beautiful brick wall with all sorts of paintings. Not sure if they do some sort of mini concert every now and then. That would be fun! Prices range from small ticketed items to obviously higher for the paintings and other large works of art. My mother-in-law ended up purchasing some metal butterflies. Definitely worth sticking your head in, taking in the beautiful art and picking up some unique gifts! It's marked with a bright yellow awning, hence the name Lemontree (duh!), the lemon cushions on the patio furniture and yes, you guessed it, a lemon tree. Stay safe, Friends!
