And always willing to talk about childhood toys, cartoons, movies and just about anything from your shared childhood. The only drawback is the size of the store. They really need a larger location, especially when more patrons come in. It tends to get claustrophobic when it gets crowded, but that's just proof of how popular this place is.

The shop itself is very narrow, tightly-spaced and a little tough to navigate through. But it's still worth a look. Great selection of all kinds of toys, old and new and many different brands as well. I've managed to get some interesting deals on some must-have items. I even found an entire toy set I had when I was a kid, which are some of my favorite types of finds as they take me back to my childhood. The prices can sometimes be a bit steep, but if you're a serious collector or you're just a big kid at heart, then it's totally worth it! My favorites are the wrestling figures, there are so many to choose from and some you can't find anywhere else. Some awesome additions to the collection have been found here. However, some toys in the store are hanging on the shelf in a plastic bag, which makes it difficult to see what they are and to browse through as I have to take all of them off the rack one-by-one to get to the one I want to see. If there was an easier way to do that, it'd be great. I'm sure the other patrons don't appreciate me holding up traffic while I rifle through several dozen little baggies that are above my head, trying not to tear the plastic or knock everything off the wall while I am squeezed in the six-inch amount of floor space between the displays. I also like the Hot Wheels cars, the blind boxes, and they usually have some really cute stuff by the front door like scented candles with cool themes, plushies, and bright, colorful goodies that could lift anyone's spirit with their innocent and happy stylings. Overall, I think it's a great spot to get some really cool pieces of one's playful past or a new addition to the lifelong obsession! So whether you're a sentimental sap who needs a good reminder of simpler times, or if you have managed to maintain your imagination and enjoy some wholesome fun, then this is the place for you! (and me, since I happen to fit both descriptions.) (they could use some shopping baskets, though.)

They offer a variety of toys from the classics to unique things I have never seen before just begging me to take out of the packaging and play with. I loved that they even had a section dedicated to road trip activities. I spent some time chatting with Anna, a Playmaker at POP. She told me all about the owner, Alison and how POP was created. They go through great lengths to curate their shop with unique interactive toys that aren't usually picked up by the big name online or physical retail stores (think Amazon, Target, etc). They have lots to touch and play with at kid level and there were several kids that seemed to be enjoying making their wish list! They even have a mailbox set up where kids can make their wish list for their birthday, Christmas, or just for fun! Letting your kid pick out a toy online just isn't the same - a stop at POP will ignite their imagination and maybe spark your's along the way too!

The store is very coastally cute with nautical items, an abundance of Cape Charles branded items and the little trinkets I remember obligatory buying for friends and family when I went on vacation without them. However, make no mistake, not everything in here is kitschy. If the vibe in your home is nautical, they have a huge selection of kitchen wares, decor, candles and more that go with that theme. It can be easy to get swept away in that feeling (no pun intended) In the back of the store, they have a fairly large toy section which is going to delight the heck out of any kid! Overall, this shop is very sweet and a worthy stop on your stroll through Cape Charles. It's on the main downtown block in Cape Charles, surrounded by other sweet local businesses. Bring your kids in here to find a fun souvenir, or just let yourself be surprised and walk away with something to remind you of this cute coastal town.

They still do the little plastic bag gimmick where you have to take down every single one to get to the one you want in the back. I have found lots of cool items here. I mainly prefer the wrestling and horror figures. They also were cool enough to allow us to have one of the display cases when we wanted to purchase the whole lot one time of a certain collection. Prices vary, some are good while others are not so good, but that's expected. Service was pretty good each time as well. Plenty of cool finds.
