They actually ended up outsourcing it to another company who had 2 people for 3 hours doing the install. They installed the door flush with the interior wood frame wall, not the drywall, meaning that the door is sticking out too far on exterior, and extra work had to be done to mask the interior issues. French doors - the jam/frame is not rigid, is completely flexible which is a nightmare to install. They need to make the frame rigid, by having a wood core with fibreglass exterior. It seems like just cheap plastic and the frame now is not straight. Management does not seem to care about customers and does not want to hear feedback on products.

My experience with Central Windows has been overwhelmingly disappointing. I was promised…read moreegress-compliant windows, but two of the new windows don't even meet egress requirements. One window is almost impossible to open because the winder is out of reach, and they installed the wrong window in my kitchen--one meant for a bedroom. It was clear there was no attention to detail, and the overall workmanship was poor. The financial terms were outrageously unfair. In the first year alone, $1,700 went to interest and only $200 came off the total, while my payments barely made a dent. The windows are not Energy Star rated, and the final price was $2,500 higher than my original quote. Furthermore, Central refused to provide proof of purchase or details on any rebates. After all this, I received a new competing quote for top-quality, triple-pane windows--fully to code and egress standards. Not only is this quote $3,000 cheaper for the same work, but these windows are also eligible for a $950 rebate per window. I paid $15,000 for only half of my house's windows with Central, when I could have had much higher quality, code-compliant windows for a fraction of the price. The outcome of Central's poor installation and misleading terms means I now have a three-bedroom house instead of five, affecting my property value by potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars. To top it all off, they included a balloon payment of nearly $14,000 after five years, on a contract that was inflated after signing--and several windows don't even function correctly. Subsequent home inspection sound of the alarm testing the windows and determining that they were no better than single payment. Terms of view value and replacement recommended only four months after the new windows were installed.?? I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. There are far better, more transparent, and reputable options available that will deliver on quality, compliance, and value. I will enact legal action as the rep D Damon has refused to provide any warranty or remedy.

I was referred to A1 by a friend of mine who used A1 a few years ago for her new windows. The installers were very polite. The supervisor inspected each installed window with me to make sure I was satisfied. When I asked about the caulking on one of the windows, the supervisor brought over the installer to redo it and then got the installer to check all the other windows to ensure they were OK by the time I inspected the windows with the supervisor. All I can say is wow!

At the initial consult, Rob generously answered all our questions and advised us on how to plan our new windows using his extensive knowledge. The hard-working crew even installed on a freezing day with snow. We want to thank Jatin, Sultan, Ranjit, Aman, Gurdeep and Rai. Our interior carpenter was impressed by the quality of the window framing. The new triple glaze windows have improved our house's appeal and made the house quieter and warmer. No longer is there any humidity accumulation on the inside window glass or sill. Extremely satisfied with A1 Windows, highly recommend!

Woo, a technician from action glass came in and fixed the cracked bedroom window by replacing it with new window. He was knowledgeable about the kind of frame and fixed the twisted frame. A second company told me that they only did garage doors. I contacted Action Glass in Coquitlam and spoke with Mike. He listened to my concern, assessed the situation, made a couple of recommendations to address the busted rollers and possibly a worn out tract, provided me with a reasonable quote, and scheduled a technician to come and repair the sliding door. Less than a week later, Chris, Action Glass Technician, came to fix the problem. He explained to me the remedial process and even showed me the defective parts he would replace. It felt good because Chris was transparent and trustworthy. He only replaced the busted rollers and did not change the tract because it was still in good working condition. The final bill I paid was 1/3 less than the initial quote. The following day I phoned Action Glass and had a conversation with Arlene. I expressed my appreciation for the work that Chris provided, and for his friendliness and professionalism. A few hours later, I received an email from Leanne Roth, Business Development Manager, thanking me for the feedback I shared about Chris. A week later, a written thank you card and a Starbucks gift card arrived in the mail from Leanne. It was such a pleasant experience dealing with the Action Glass Team from the beginning to the end of the transaction. Their whole crew was excellent! You hardly see this kind of strategic customer engagement anymore from a lot of the companies out there.
